Poison in the Roots is a quest that is part of Diablo 4's Season 7 storyline, and it is composed of several objectives that players must address. Diablo 4: How to Complete Poison in the Roots

Speak with Gelena by the Tree of Whispers

Players should begin by making their way to the Tree of Whispers and speaking with Gelena near the ritual circle. While fans should have a solid understanding of where to find Diablo 4's Tree of Whispers by the time that they start the Poison in the Roots quest, Gelena's position has been marked on the following maps for the sake of full clarity.

Perform the Ritual

Players must now enter the ritual circle. To do this, fans must simply click on the footprints that are in front of Gelena. Notably, the words "Coven's Ritual Circle" will appear when a player is targeting the correct spot.

Invoke the Tree's Old Name in the Correct Order

After observing the preparation of the ritual, Diablo 4 players must invoke the Tree's old name in the correct order. Here is how that is done:

First, interact with the bottom-left Ritual Brazier and select "Ayh."
Then, interact with the bottom-right Ritual Brazier and select "Yew."
Finally, interact with the top Ritual Brazier and select "Oun."

Gather Vials of Nangari Blood & Trace the Ritual Circle

Players should now collect the three vials of Nangari Blood that appear within the ritual circle. Fans should then stand on the illuminated spot near the top Ritual Brazier and walk around the edge of the circle to trace it with blood.

Witness the Ritual & Speak with Gelena Outside

Once the circle is traced, a sequence will occur during which players must fend off a horde of attacking enemies. As soon as those foes have been defeated, fans should click on the footprints below the circle to return to the Tree of Whispers. Players must then simply speak with Gelena to complete this Diablo 4 Season of Witchcraft quest and claim the associated rewards.
