Diablo 4 is finally set to add leaderboards to the game in Season 11. The long-awaited leaderboards for Diablo 4 will only be available as part of a new game mode named The Tower.

Diablo 4 Season 10 Barbarian with Chaos Armor

Leaderboards have been a staple of previous Diablo games, but have been missing in Diablo 4 since Season 6, after they were first added in Season 3. The previous version of the popular feature was removed due to being easily exploitable by players, but Blizzard has always maintained the position that it has been looking for ways to bring it back. With each passing Season, demand for the return of leaderboards has only increased among the community.

I'm hopping into Diablo 4 Season 10, marking the first time I've revisited the game since launch, and one build sealed the deal for me with cuteness.

Diablo 4 is Getting Leaderboards in Season 11

Blizzard recently revealed all the changes coming to Diablo 4's Season 11, confirming the addition of a new game mode called The Tower, a "multi-stage timed dungeon that is meant to only be bested by the most elite of wanderers." The Tower will also include leaderboards, which will be organized into various categories. All leaderboard entries will display important information about each run, including Tier completed, time, and date.

The leaderboards will first be available in Diablo 4's 2.5.0 PTR, which launches today (October 21). While Blizzard claims it has more planned for Diablo 4 leaderboards following Season 11's release, it says "this PTR will be more focused on introducing the overall functionality." It's unclear at this point if the developer plans to add leaderboards to more than just The Tower in the future. As the feature is just in beta, "the Leaderboards will not have any specific rewards linked to them," although Blizzard will provide more details on that in the future.

Diablo 4 The Tower

It's good to see Blizzard finally able to bring one of Diablo 4's most requested features back to the game after so long. It was recently revealed that the developer is also talking about adding a loot filter to Diablo 4, which is another feature the community has been desperate to see make its way into the game. If the developer can continue to satisfy the demands of players like this, then Diablo 4 should find itself in a very healthy place going forward.
