Summary
- Diablo 4 players seek changes in Unique item drops.
- Reddit user Aeretes and other players want adjustments to make farming regular bosses more rewarding.
- Diablo 4 Season 5 promises new Uniques, consumables, and modes.
Some Diablo 4 players are unhappy with the drop of Unique items and would like to see changes in Season 5. Diablo 4 is known for the wide variety of weapons and gear players find on their journey through Sanctuary. Diablo 4 players' biggest hunt, however, is for Unique items, valuable pieces of equipment capable of having a major impact on a character's build.
Unique weapons and gear are highly coveted by Diablo 4 players for reasons like their unique attributes and four affixes. The possibilities go further, with the existence of general and class-specific Uniques, such as Diablo 4's popular Harlequin Crest, aka Shako. Diablo 4 players can find Unique items in different ways, such as by killing enemies and defeating endgame bosses. However, one Diablo 4 player pointed out one big frustration related to the game's Unique items.
Reddit user Aeretes is one of the Diablo 4 players who would like to see changes to the drop of Unique items. According to them, Diablo 4 should make low-tier bosses like Varshan and Zir drop only 925 power items at a certain point, just like Duriel and Andariel. For them, it “doesn't make sense” for a level 100 character to get 925 power items “anywhere” in World Tier 4, except in “the one activity where the player is supposed to farm items that define the build.” According to them, it would be a good opportunity to make this change in the fifth season of Diablo 4, which will focus on reworking the Uniques.
Diablo 4 Players Want Unique Items Drop Change
In the comments, several Diablo 4 players agreed with the OP's suggestion, with one adding that this adjustment would make it worthwhile to farm the game's regular bosses. Another player also agreed with the change, revealing that this was the reason they stopped farming Uniques. A third comment agreed with the post, noting how the best places for target farming in Diablo 4 are dropping Unique items at suboptimal levels.
While the Diablo 4 community waits to see if this adjustment to Unique drops will happen, there are already several changes coming to the game's fifth season. Diablo 4 will add new Uniques, consumables, and modes and adjust Helltides to make the activity more engaging. Additionally, on August 1, the devs will hold a livestream to talk more about what's coming in Diablo 4 Season 5, opening the door to potentially exciting announcements and addressing changes requested by the community, such as the adjustment to the Unique drop.
