How To Use The Tree Of Whispers In Diablo 4

The Tree of Whispers appears as a red tree icon with a skull at the top on the eastern side of the map. Hovering over the icon will display a progress bar showing players how many Grim Favors they have completed and how many more need to be done to get rewards. After completing ten Grim Favors, players will get a side activity icon over the tree and will need to return there before any more Grim Favors can be earned.

Returning to the tree will give players an option of three reward caches to choose from, with each focusing on different weapon types, armor pieces, or the Collection of Chaos. Selecting a clearly labeled collection will give players multiple high-end gear pieces of that type, along with all sorts of additional rewards, such as XP, Gold, and consumables for upgrading gear. The Collection of Chaos can still offer high-end rewards and offer any kind of item or gear piece at random.

How To Complete Grim Favors In Diablo 4

Grim Favors are earned when completing Whispers, which are small side activities that are maked on the map with red or light red icons. Whispers are always cycling, with new ones spawning randomly throughout the map to replace existing or completed ones. By hovering over the icon of a Whisper, players can see how many Grim Favors are earned by completing the activity.

Grim Favors are also earned by clearing Dungeons in Diablo 4 that are maked with the red icon on the map, usually offering more Grim Favors than any Whisper task. After earning ten Grim Favors, players won't be able to complete any additional Whispers until they return to the Tree Of Whispers. Whispers will still spawn within Helltide events, and offer players a lot more rewards than usual for completing them on top of the rewards from the tree, making any Whisper in a Helltide a great use of time.
