Fighting off a large population of enemies across the many dungeons or endgame activities in Diablo 4 will require more than powerful AoE attacks to keep them in line. Sometimes, crowd control abilities will allow you to get some breathing room in an otherwise overwhelming situation. Thankfully, Rogues do possess a variety of skills that will allow them and their party to prevent enemies from moving forward, making them excellent at crowd control.
Crafting a build that will excel at the most difficult activities in Diablo 4 will inevitably have you and your character farming for Unique items. Today's guide will focus on the Cowl of the Nameless – a Unique Rogue helm that will boost your crowd control skills – and the many methods you can use to get and farm it throughout the many activities found across Sanctuary and its regions.
How to Get the Cowl of the Nameless Unique in Diablo 4
To get the Cowl of the Nameless Unique helm, your Rogue will have to get to World Tier 3 or World Tier 4 in Diablo 4 first . Starting at WT3, Unique items will drop randomly by opening chests or defeating enemies. If you wish to increase your chances of getting the Cowl of the Nameless Unique, you can focus on completing endgame activities like joining players when World Bosses or Gathering Legions start in Sanctuary or using Nightmare Sigils to run Nightmare Dungeons.
However, the best way you can farm the Cowl of the Nameless Unique is to face and beat Uber Bosses. This activity introduced during Diablo 4 Season 2 allows you to use materials to summon powerful bosses in Sanctuary. For the Cowl of the Nameless, you can face Duriel, King of Maggots, or the Echo of Andariel, since this Unique helm is part of both bosses' loot pools. Duriel and Andariel can only be fought in WT4, and you will need to beat other Uber Bosses to collect their summoning materials. Take a look at the table below to prepare yourself for this task:
Boss |
Location |
Materials |
|---|---|---|
Duriel |
Gaping Crevasse, Kehjistan |
Tormented Duriel |
Gaping Crevasse, Kehjistan |
Echo of Andariel |
Hanged Man's Hall, Kehjistan |
Tormented Echo of Andariel |
Hanged Man's Hall, Kehjistan |

Tormented versions of Uber Bosses will be significantly harder to beat, but will provide the best chances to get Unique items in Diablo 4. That said, you will need to run The Pit several times to get Stygian Stones to be able to face them multiple times in a row, which is a very hard endgame activity on its own. Make sure that your character is powerful enough to do so solo or bring other players along for the ride.
