The endgame of Diablo 4 has always been about fine-tuning character builds, and there's no better way to do that than to fight the toughest of monsters to get awesome loot. In Season 4, players have a new endgame boss to fight in the form of Andariel, the Maiden of Anguish, who has finally managed to appear in content past the main storyline.
Fighting Andariel is very similar to the other bosses in Diablo 4. There's going to be a bit of a grind involved before you can fight her, but it'll all be worth it if you're sick and tired of beating up Duriel all the time. If you're wondering how to fight Andariel again, here's what you need to do.
Diablo 4: How To Track Helltides
Diablo 4's fourth Season has truly reworked Helltides. Here's how players can track them.
How to Summon Andariel in Diablo 4
You need to collect Sandscorched Shackles and Pincushioned Dolls in order to fight Andariel, but before all of that, make sure that you have a character capable of comfortably fighting in Torment difficulty. All endgame bosses can be challenged in Diablo 4's fourth World Tier, and even then, you'll need to have a good build that's strong enough to actually fight the boss you want to beat.
Sandscorched Shackles and Pincushioned Dolls drop from Lord Zir and the Beast In Ice respectively, and in order to fight them, you'll need Exquisite Blood and Distilled Fear. Both of these can drop from the following WT4 sources:
- Public events
- World Bosses
- Helltide elites and bosses
- Legion events
You can occasionally get dolls and shackles from World Bosses, though the drop rates seem to be quite low.
How to Perform the Ritual of Anguish in Diablo 4
Once you've gathered enough dolls and shackles, head to Hanged Man's Hall in Kehjistan's Scouring Sands region. This is directly to the east of the Tarsarak waypoint. Enter the dungeon, fight through all the monsters inside, and once you get to the Wounded Court, place your Sandscorched Shackles and Pincushioned Dolls at the altar.
Andariel shares many similarities to Duriel. Both are Level 100 bosses, a Tormented version of Andariel can be fought by using more resources, and both bosses have the exact same loot pool, which includes the new Tyrael's Might Unique chest piece.
Apart from getting the new Unique item, the main reason for Andariel being here is to serve as an alternative to Duriel while also giving players more reasons to fight Lord Zir and the Beast In Ice. If you're someone who needs to farm these two bosses, you'll eventually gather enough materials to challenge Andariel, giving you the option to fight her and claim even more Unique items.
