Players can enjoy Diablo 4 not only alone but also with friends or family members in couch co-op mode. This feature was available in the previous parts of the series and was very popular among fans, so the developers added it to this part as well. To play together, users do not need to do anything complicated, as the main thing required is 2 controllers and Battle.net accounts. Check out this guide to learn how to play couch co-op split screen in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: How to Play Couch Co-op With Friends
So, before starting, it is worth noting that this mode is not available for PC players. Unfortunately, the developers were unable to implement this feature due to technical issues. According to Rod Fergusson, one of Diablo's general managers, this is because it is much more difficult to connect 2 Battle.net accounts on a PC, unlike on consoles.
So, if console owners eventually want to take advantage of this, here's what to do:
- Launch the game.
- Select a character or create a new one, but do not start the game.
- After this is done, interact with the second controller to turn it on.
- Once enabled, a notification should appear on the screen that the second player connected, but that's not all.
- The next step is to link a PSN account so that the second player can join. If there is no such account, create a new one (the game can be available on only one PSN account; the second one is needed only to authorize another controller).
- When this is done, click the "Options" button (looks like 3 horizontal lines) on the controller.
- At the bottom right, a notification will be displayed that a player needs to connect a Battle.net account. Create a new one, or use an existing one and connect it.
- When fans have everything done, the second player will join the game and can choose his character or create a new one.
That's all. First, this instruction may seem a bit complicated but don't worry. After registering PSN and Battle.net accounts once, gamers will not need to do it again but instead will only have to log in to start the game.
