How To Get Profane Mindcage In Diablo 4

Profane Mindcages will only drop in World Tier 3 or 4. Unlocking World tier 3 will require players to clear the Cathedral of Light dungeon in Diablo 4, which is a fairly difficult level 50 dungeon. After unlocking and activating World Tier 3, head to a Helltide event and begin killing as many enemies as possible. Doing so will increase your Threat level, displayed by the bar at the top right of the screen. Once this bar fills, very powerful enemies will appear wherever you are.

Defeating these enemies that spawn has a very high chance of dropping a Profane Mindcage. Should players die during a Helltide, their Threat level will reset and keep the stronger enemies from spawning that drop the Profane Mindcage. Defeating enemies of any strength will increase your Threat, so target large groups of weaker enemies to make it a quick process. As your Threat increases and reaches the two thresholds on the bar, a group of progressively powerful enemies will spawn, but only those that spawn from a filled-up bar will drop the Profane Mindcage.

Using a Profane Mindcage will make the difficult monsters of the Helltide even stronger, but offer more rewards. Thanks to the increased Threat gain, players can quickly earn back their Profane Mindcage and more within the allocated time by staying within the Helltide for the full 60 minutes. Aberrant Cinders are used to open Tortured chests throughout a Helltide, giving players XP and high-end loot in Diablo 4. While players should prepare for the added challenge before using the item, the rewards for using a Profane Mindcage are well worth the effort and difficulty.
