How to Get Umbracrux Unique in Diablo 4
Similarly to other Diablo 4 Season 5 Unique items, such as the Shard of Verathiel Unique sword, The Umbracrux Unique dagger – exclusive to Rogues – is best obtainable by completing Infernal Hordes runs and opening the Spoils of Equipment chests right after defeating the Fell Council final bosses. That said, getting through the gates of Hell and defeating wave after wave of demonic forces in the Infernal Hordes is not unlocked from the get-go. Using a Permanent or a new Seasonal character, head to Zarbinzet and meet Locran who will be your companion through the quests named "The Eyes of the Enemy" and "To the Edge of the Abyss." Completing them will reward you with an Infernal Compass that, after used, will grant you access to the Infernal Hordes.
Depending on the Tier of your Infernal Compass – which you can get by completing endgame activities and upgrade by using Abyssal Scrolls – you will face a set number of waves and enemies that will drop Burning Aether. Your priority will be to collect as much Aether as possible because it is a currency you will spend opening Spoils of War chests. Focus on opening Spoils of Equipment and Spoils of Greater Equipment – which guarantee Greater Affixes rolls – for 20 and 60 Burning Aether, respectively.
If you want to vary the activities you do in the game, you can also try your luck at getting The Umbracrux in Diablo 4 by taking part in World Tier 3 and 4 activities such as defeating World Bosses, completing Gather Legions, or relying on RNG by opening chests throughout Sanctuary.
Umbracrux Unique Effect & Affixes in Diablo 4
The Umbracrux Unique effect will affect the Rogue's Subterfurge Skills by creating a Shade Totem that will remain standing from 3 to 8 seconds on the field. If the Rogue attacks it, it will deal replicated Trap Skill damage to any enemies nearby at 20% effectiveness. Your Subterfurge Skills can only create one Shade Totem at a time.
