Diablo 4's Vessel of Hatred Expansion has introduced several new Unique Items, especially for the Spiritborn class. One of these, the Ring of the Midnight Sun, is cropping up in several of the Spiritborn's most powerful builds due to its many ranks of Mirage and Critical Strike Effects.
To get this ring and finish their build, players will need to meet basic Unique gear drop requirements. However, they can also raise their chances significantly by target-farming the ring. Keep reading to learn what the drop requirements of Unique Items are, where to target-farm the Ring of the Midnight Sun, and which builds can make use of this powerful item.
Diablo 4: How to Get Banished Lord's Talisman Unique
Overpower your skills and attacks by picking up the Banished Lord's Talisman Unique amulet in Diablo 4.
How To Get The Ring of the Midnight Sun
Players looking to get Unique Gear will need to meet the following base requirements:
- Reach Level 60
- Unlock & enter Torment 1 Difficulty
After doing so, Unique Items have a base chance of dropping from most in-game activities. The chance of receiving a Unique is higher, however, in some endgame activities. A non-targeted approach that will reward you with materials, XP, and gold while still having a good chance of dropping the Ring of the Midnight Sun includes endgame activities such as clearing Infernal Hordes, Nightmare Dungeons, defeating World Bosses, and opening Helltide Chests of Mystery.
How To Target-farm The Ring Of The Midnight Sun
For players who want to get their hands on the Ring of the Midnight Sun as fast as possible, and do not care about stacking other rewards, then fighting Grigoire the Galvanic Saint is ideal. Lair Bosses drop Unique items at a much higher rate, and this one in particular is the only one with Ring of the Midnight Sun on its loot list.
Tormented Lair Bosses have a similar chance to drop Unique Items as their Standard counterparts, so the extra materials used in the ritual simply aren't worth it. However, the ratio of Unique items to drop goes up the higher the difficulty is. Play on the highest difficulty possible for maximum opportunities.
Which Builds Use The Ring Of The Midnight Sun
There are several endgame builds that utilize Ring of the Midnight Sun as their Best in Slot gear. Popular examples include:
- Evade Eagle Spiritborn
- Quill Volley Spiritborn
- Payback Gorilla Spiritborn
- Crushing Hand Gorilla Spiritborn
- Touch of Death Spiritborn
This is primarily due to the ranks of Mirage the ring grants, which provide useful Defensive stats for the squishy Spiritborn, as well as the Vigor Regeneration on Critical Strike. Most builds that utilize the Ring of the Midnight Sun require a high roll of Vigor Regeneration, and completely rely on this affix for Primary Resource generation - especially those that also utilize the Rod of Kepeleke.
