Crafting the perfect build for your characters in Diablo 4 has several variables that can be modified with ease by choosing your skills or through the Paragon Board. However, once you hit the endgame, Uniques introduce drop chance and RNG to the equation, inevitably forcing players to endure long sessions of Unique farming – that, fortunately, has been made more accessible throughout the most recent seasons in the game.
Out of the Uniques available for the Sorcerer class, the Fractured Winterglass Unique amulet is one of the best that Diablo 4 has to offer to all players who wish to use the Frozen Orb skill as an alternative to the Lightning Spear or Chain Lightning Sorcerer builds. Today's guide will take a closer look at the many ways you can farm the Fractured Winterglass Unique during Diablo 4's endgame content.
Diablo 4: Hellbreaches Explained
Hellbreaches are a new activity added in Season 5 of Diablo 4; here's what they are and how to complete them.
How to Get Fractured Winterglass Unique in Diablo 4
The Fractured Winterglass Unique amulet, which is Unique to the Sorcerer class, can be obtained by opening chests starting at World Tier 3 and also at World Tier 4 in Diablo 4. Drops at both WT difficulties are extremely rare, so you might as well increase your chance of getting the Fractured Winterglass Unique by taking part in endgame activities. Be sure to beat Nightmare Dungeons, complete Legions, or even slay World Bosses as soon as they spawn in Sanctuary.
Alternatively, you can also fight Lord Zir, The Dark Master. This Uber Boss was introduced in Season 2 and, while other bosses such as the Echo of Varshan or Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, can be summoned in World Tier 3, you can only summon Lord Zir in World Tier 4. This means that this particular fight – similar to others like Andariel or Duriel – will be especially tough for you and your character.
If you are confident enough that you are ready to face Lord Zir, you will need to collect Exquisite Blood. In World Tier 4, Exquisite Blood can be found across the many endgame activities in Diablo 4, such as Nightmare Dungeons, Helltides, Whisper caches, etc. Once you have enough Exquisite Blood, travel to the Ancient's Seat in the Fractured Peaks and offer the materials in the Bloodied Altar to summon Lord Zir. Since Season 4, there is also a much harder Tormented version of the Lord Zir fight, so check out the required materials for both fights below:
-
Lord Zir:
- 9x Exquisite Blood
-
Tormented Lord Zir:
- 27x Exquisite Blood
- 1x Stygian Stone: Collect them by opening chests after completing The Pit runs.
Fractured Winterglass Unique Effect & Affixes in Diablo 4
After getting and equipping the Fractured Winterglass Unique amulet, your Sorcerer's Frozen Orb cast will have a 35 to 65% chance of spawning a random Conjuration after the orb explodes. Additionally, these Conjurations have a 50 to 90% chance of launching a Frozen Orb at nearby enemies. You can also make use of its Affixes listed below:
- +[13.0 - 17.5]% Chance for Frozen Orb Projectiles to Cast Twice
- +[57.0 - 75.0]% Non-Physical Damage
- Conjuration Cooldowns are Reduced by +[0.1 - 0.3] Seconds when a Frozen Orb Explodes
- +[3 - 4] to Conjuration Mastery
All in all, take part in endgame activities to get the Fractured Winterglass Unique and consider running The Pit to get Stygian Stones in Diablo 4. The Tormented Lord Zir fight has an increased chance of getting Unique items, making it a great way to farm the Fractured Winterglass amulet if you have a powerful enough build and tackle the fight with other players.
