When it comes to making a Blessed Shield build in Diablo 4, Ward of the White Dove comes out on top as one of the best Unique items to play around with. Blessed Shield is already an incredibly strong ability by itself, but once you pair it with this shield, the damage goes through the roof. Thankfully, Ward of the White Dove isn't that hard to get, and if you want to make a build that can make the most out of the Paladin's Judgement mechanic in Diablo 4, here's where you need to go to farm for this shield.

How to Farm Ward of the White Dove in Diablo 4
Ward of the White Dove is one of the dedicated drops from Varshan, the lair boss chilling underneath the Tree of Whispers in Hawezar. Players can challenge him at any time as long as they're on at least Torment 1, but beating him alone won't yield any loot (apart from a shower of money). To get any of Varshan's loot, you'll need to open his treasure hoard using 12 Malignant Hearts.
Players can get Malignant Hearts by farming Tree of Whispers bounties. Hearts drop from Whisper caches, and when you complete a bounty, there's a chance that a Grotesque Debtor will appear a short while later. Blast the Debtor with whatever you have, and you'll get another Malignant Heart or two for your effort.
Now, if you're extra lucky, then you might end up getting invaded by Belial after you loot Varshan's chest. Beating Belial gives you another full drop of Varshan's loot, and he'll drop a Betrayer's Husk too. If you collect two of these husks, you can go to Belial's lair in Kehjistan and fight him there. Just don't forget to pick Varshan in Belial's treasure hoard before you open it.
Opening Helltide chests also has a decent chance of dropping Unique items. Look for Chests of Protection, or just gun for Tortured Gifts of Mysteries.
Diablo 4 Ward of the White Dove Unique Effect
Ward of the White Dove increases Blessed Shield's damage exponentially while also cutting its Resource Cost down. By default, this shield grants Blessed Shield a chunky damage multiplier, and when you cast a different skill prior to throwing your shield, then that chunky damage multiplier is doubled for the next three uses of Blessed Shield.
Basically, when using Ward of the White Dove, you use a Basic Skill like Holy Bolt first, then you throw three Blessed Shields. Repeat until whatever you're fighting drops dead. This works extremely well with Judgment Builds in D4.
