Realmwalker events are the featured activity for Diablo 4: Season of Hatred Rising. They are fairly lengthy encounters that will have players blowing up hordes of demons in Sanctuary as well as other mysterious realms, in hopes of scoring as much shiny loot as possible.
This seasonal event works a little differently compared to the previous ones. You'll likely run into a couple of them while doing the long Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred campaign, and if you want to know more about how Realmwalker events work, here's all the important information about them.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred - All Nahantu Waypoint Locations
All across Nahantu, you can find Waypoints that will allow you to cut down on travel time in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.
How To Complete Realmwalker Events In Diablo 4
A Realmwalker is basically a portal with legs. It's a giant demon that constantly summons other demons to it. You'll know that a Realmwalker is about to wake up when you see a circular symbol on the map. Once you see one pop up, head to the area and prepare for carnage.
Realmwalkers should appear on your map as a circular icon flanked by little spires. You'll know a Realmwaker is in an area if there's a green demon icon over a region. Speak with Crusader Damond in Zarbinzet and complete the Creeping Hatred quest if you can't find any of these events.
The Realmwalker itself has a large, boss-style health bar, but you won't be able to deal any direct damage to it yet. Instead, you need to defeat the demons that spawn from it. Strong AOE builds like Whirlwind Barbarian or Centipede Spiritborn in Diablo 4 will make this fight a breeze.
This entire event all boils down to you and other players killing everything that moves. Small demons, Elites, pillars, portals — smash everything with a health bar, and eventually, the Realmwalker will die as well. After all that trouble, nothing will drop from the giant monster, but that's alright because you're not done yet.
Realmwalker Dungeons (Seething Realms)
When a Realmwalker bites the dust, it'll shuffle back into the ground and grant you access to the Seething Realms via the portal on its back. Entering these portals will send you to a series of mini-dungeons, and this is where you'll get all your hard-earned loot.
Inside the first dungeon is a portal that leads to another dungeon. The kicker here is that these portals let you pick what rewards you get on the next map. You can pick between getting Gold, Equipment, or Materials, so choose whatever you're in most need of. You can also some of Diablo 4's re-introduced Runes every time you open the big chest at the end of each Seething Realms raid.
Realmwalkers spawn every 10-15 minutes. Check your map regularly.
