Wielding powerful demonic magic and telekinetic abilities, the Warlock joins the fray, fueled by his thirst for forbidden knowledge and ancient dark rituals. This class is all about versatility, debuffing his foes, unleashing powerful Miasma and Fire Spells, or using his telekinetic capabilities to enchant weapons and wield them with brutal efficiency.
On the other hand, this class also doubles down as a summoner, calling forth powerful demons, binding almost every demon in Sanctuary, and consuming them to empower his magic. It's a one-man army that can cull down all foes, cursing or burning them, and even executing them using dark sigils. So here in this guide, players will learn all about the best early-game and late-game builds for Warlock in Diablo 2: Resurrected - Reign of the Warlock.
The 23 Best Weapons In Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls 3 throws a lot of choices onto the table in terms of weaponry — but of the options presented, which are the best?
Best Early-Game Build For Warlock in Diablo 2 Resurrected
The Warlock is pretty powerful both in terms of survivability and damage, but if players want to drain all that demonic juice out of this new class, they should be specific in terms of focusing on skills.
Starting with the basics, the Warlock has three main Skill Lines: Chaos, Eldritch, and Demon. Chaos is Debuffs, Fire Damage, and Miasma Damage. Eldritch is Melee, Telekinetic Weapon, and Weapon Buffs. Demon is all about summoning and commanding minions.
For the purposes of maximizing add clear power and snowballing, players should choose Chaos, and follow these guidelines to get powerful real fast:
- Invest a few skill points in Miasma Blast and then wait for Ring of Fire to become available at level 6.
- Starting at level 6, focus solely on Ring of Fire. This skill will provide lots of damage, and AoE add clear.
- For skill points, raise Strength and Dexterity to 25, then dump the rest on Vitality until hitting at least 60.
- Starting at level 15, shift from Vitality to Energy, and raise it to 40. From that point on, players should change from Vitality to Energy at their convenience. At least until hitting level 25, then, it would be best to invest in Strength and Dexterity again to equip better armor and daggers.
The power of Ring of Fire can be boosted starting at level 19 by learning Fire Wave. This skill would be strengthened with each level invested in Ring of Fire, so players shouldn't worry too much about dumping skill points into it.
The main objective is to reach level 30 fast and unlock a few other skills along the way. Sigil of Lethargy is super useful for Crowd Control.
Best Early Armor & Weapon Picks
Getting decent gear for the early stages of this build will not be easy, as players will depend mostly on the merciless RNG of Diablo 2: Resurrected. But luckily, there are a few tricks to get just what players need.
For starters, the starting weapon of the Warlock, is a dagger that grants + 1 to Miasma Bolt. Players shouldn't throw it right away, but instead, keep it in their stash until they advance with the Main Quest of ACT 1.
Now, there's a way to get decent Armor for a caster quite early, and that's crafting the Runeword 'Stealth' using the Tal and Eth runes and any piece of armor with two sockets. The result will be a legendary grade piece of gear with the following stats:
- Magic Damage Reduced By 3
- +6 To Dexterity
- +15 To Maximum Stamina
- Poison Resist +30%
- Regenerate Mana 15%
- 25% Faster Run/Walk
- 25% Faster Cast Rate
- 25% Faster Hit Recovery
Divinity Original Sin 2: Every Class, Ranked From Worst To Best
Each class has unique pros and cons in Divinity: Original Sin 2, but some stand out as better than the rest and are much more worth a player's time.
For weapons, pick a dagger that grants extra Warlock Skills, or use the reward from finding the Horadric Mallet to turn the starter dagger into a Rare Weapon with greater stats (the reward for completing the Tools of the Trade Quest).
For amulets and rings, pick those that grant increased mana and cast speed. Boots should have at least +10 to Walking/Running Speed, and Gloves should provide extra mana or defense. There will be time for getting even more powerful gear later on, but this will suffice for now.
It is worth noting that Warlocks can wield a Two-Handed weapon in one hand and a Grimoire (Tome) in the other. The Grimoires are Warlock specific items that grant the benefits of a magical off-hand and a shield at the same time.
