Destiny: Rising has a ton of activities and quests to complete, so players need to be careful not to miss any opportunity to get extra rewards and loot. Character Quests are special missions that require players to have certain Lightbearers, like Ikora or Kabr unlocked, and after completing certain requisites, they will be able to follow them to earn special rewards that might include gear, Lumia Leaves, and more.
In this guide, players will find all the information they need to know about Character Quests in Destiny: Rising, including how to raise Character Proficiency Levels, and how to unlock Quest Steps for all characters.
What are Character Quests in Destiny: Rising?
Character Quests are the unique side-missions available for all Lightbearers (besides Wolf) that players unlock in Destiny: Rising. Some of them are automatically unlocked after players complete certain Main Missions or unlock the characters, but in particular cases, there are Character Quests that are unlocked by clicking the Message Inbox from the Heaven Network located on the top left side, below the mini-map.
These special quests can be accessed through the Quest Menu by following these steps:
- Open the main menu by tapping on the Ghost Icon (or using Caps in Emulator)
- Select the Messages, Fireteam, Mail Tab on the Bottom right corner.
- Select the Quest tab to open the Quest Menu.
- Browse through the list of Quests available.
Now, in the case of Gwynn, the Mythical character that is featured in the current Special Banner, players will have to first complete the Ice Field Phantoms Character Introductory Quest before being able to unlock her main Character Quest.
The Memento Mori character Quest from Gwynn has the particularity of being time-sensitive, and that means players have only a few days while the Character Unlock event lasts to complete it and earn its rewards.
Players have a ton of opportunities to earn Bon Voyage Charms needed to draw more characters, and Lumia Leaves to draw Mythical characters like Gwynn from the special banner. Currently, players can earn 132 free Bon Voyage Charms, and over 10000 Lumia Leaves, which can be used to Draw up to 200 Rewards from Pandora-7's Gacha Game. Keep in mind that most of these rewards are time-sensitive, and players can keep track of them from the Event - Rewards Guide menu.
How to Unlock All Character Quests in Destiny: Rising
All Character Quests in Destiny: Rising have a prerequisite to being unlocked: Proficiency Levels. To increase each character's Proficiency, players need to pick them up from the Character's menu and use them in the various Activities available in the game.
Each time players finish an Activity with one of the characters, they will earn Proficiency Exp, and each Proficiency Level unlocks a step in the Character Quest for each of the Lightbearers that players have unlocked.
Some Character Quests might also require players to complete steps of the Main Story. For example, Kabr's Character Quest requires the completion of the mission Gathering a Fireteam from Chapter 1-1, while Ikora's Character Quest requires players to have completed Chapter 1-2's Mission 'The Choice of Ikora Rey.' Both of these will unlock the characters and allow players to start upgrading their efficiency levels with them.
