In Destiny: Rising, there are certain activities called 'Casual,' that players can enjoy besides all the shooting and looting, and Fishing is one of them. This mini-game has a few challenges and cool rewards for those Lightbearers who dare to brave the waters of the Dark Age Earth.

This guide will teach players how to increase their Fishing level, how to get more fishing rods, bait, and what to do with the Fishes they catch. So, get that hook, line, and sinker ready, because it's time to fill those buckets with loads of space fish.

How to Fish in Destiny: Rising

Destiny Rising Fishing Guide (6)

To Fish in Destiny: Rising, players need to complete the 'Go Fishing' Side Mission in Chapter 2-3. Talk to Pandora-7 in Heaven, and follow the marker to the Fishing Spot in the city to equip a Rod and Bait, all provided by the Exo merchant who loves Bon Voyage Charms.

  1. Cast the line into the pond by tapping (or clicking) on it, then wait for the indicator to glow yellow.
  2. Hook in to catch a regular fish, or hold the bar by tapping continuously or pressing and holding on the screen to keep the piece hooked, and making the fish's stamina drop.
  3. Remember to have bait available, and to control the Fishing Rod durability to keep on angling.

Every time players fish, they will spend a 'charge' of durability on their fishing rods, and they will also spend Bait. Every fish will increase their level of Fishing, and each level will grant them rewards such as Weapon Enhancement Prisms, and Fishing Ability Points, which need to be used in the Fishing Ability tree to improve the Guardian's fishing skills.

There's also a chance to spot Cats around Heaven and other locations, and by petting them, players will learn which type of fish they like, and will earn a few Angling Tokens. It's up to the players ot decide if they want to give the fish to Pandora, or feed the cats.

Cats can be found nearly all around Heaven. There's one cat in the Bazaar, one in the Bad Old Time bar's counter, and one in the entrance to Lord Radegast's Throne Room. Each cat has its own preferences: Some will like Blue Fish, some will like Yellow Fish, and others will like Red Fish. Players need to discover which species are associated with these colors and feed the cats the correct ones to earn rewards.
