With Friday finally here, Destiny 2 fans know that the exotic merchant Xur has finally arrived somewhere in the world. These days, the arrival isn't always as exciting as it used to be thanks in large part to his inventory being comprised of items only from the first year of Destiny 2. By this point, it's likely that most players already have these exotic pieces.
Thankfully, the silver lining to this situation is that random rolls add a new twist to these classic items. Added alongside the well-received Forsaken expansion last month, players can now have two very different versions of the same items, with many having a specific god roll that players are always on the hunt for. So even with Xur selling duplicates this weekend, the associated random perks may help to add a little extra appeal and make them worth picking up once again.
Here's everything Xur is selling in Destiny 2 for the weekend of October 26, 2018:
Where is Xur?
This week, Xur can be found n the Winding Cove in the European Dead Zone.
Fast travel to the Winding Cove, then head to the back of the zone where the Fallen patrol on the cliffs. The merchant can be found on a ledge under the crashed drop ship.
Class Armor
This week, Xur has brought his best Ahamkara gear from year one. There's only one vanilla exotic and two that were added with the Warmind expansion.
Claws of Ahamkara - Warlock gauntlets
The Claws of Ahamkara are helpful for players who enjoy using their melee abilities. The Whispers give players an additional melee charge, letting them use an ability twice rather than waiting for it to recharge.
Another solid choice for Warlocks, especially those that like to run Attunement of Control, the newest Stormcaller subclass tree. Other players have also had success running the Voidwalker Devour subclass as well, which helps proc the gauntlet's perk as well.
Fixed Gear Rolls:
- Resilience OR Mobility
-
Fusion Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, Impact Induction
-
Shotgun Scavenger OR Heavy Ammo Finder
Sealed Ahamkara Grasps - Hunter gauntlets
While it may not be the best Hunter exotic gear these days, the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps remain an underrated exotic especially when paired with a certain subclass like the Gunslinger Way of a Thousand Cuts. Nightmare Fuel reloads the player's currently equipped weapon after melee damage.
By using Way of a Thousand Cuts, Hunters can ensure that they always have ammo ready. Throwing the burning knives causes significant melee damage and each burn tick of damage will reload the equipped gun. Killing the burning enemy procs the Playing with Fire perk, which essentially recharges the melee attack giving the player a nearly unlimited supply of reloads as long as they hit and kill the target.
Fixed Gear Rolls:
- Resilience OR Mobility
-
Fusion Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, Impact Induction
-
Shotgun Scavenger OR Heavy Ammo Finder
Actium War Rig - Titan chest armor
When paired with an auto rifle, the Actium War Rig turns the player into a shredder. Auto-Loading Link steadily reloads a portion of your equipped Auto Rifle's magazine from reserves.
Sweet Business has always been linked to this exotic gear, but thankfully, Forsaken has added a number of new auto rifles which could also benefit from the weapon including Ether Doctor and Misfit. Considering that the Festival of the Lost also added a 600 power masterworked auto rifle called Horror Story as a quest reward, now would be a great time to pick this item up if it's not already owned.
Fixed Gear Rolls:
- Resilience OR Recovery
-
Unflinching Bow Aim, Unflinching Fusion Rifle Aim, Unflinching Sniper Aim
-
Scout Rifle Reserves OR Special Ammo Finder
Exotic Weapon
The exotic fusion rifle Telesto is available this week. Once a massively popular gun for helping to cheese through the Blind Well, it's still a strong option even after that slight nerf. Telesto is a great weapon for dealing with crowd control or even laying taps thanks to its perk, Unplanned reprieve. Giving the gun its signature feature, the Telesto fires a burst of fusion projectiles that stick on the surface. After a short delay, these particles burst into a destructive void blast. Better yet, getting multikills with it reloads the equipped Kinetic and Energy weapons from reserves.
For better or worse, Telesto remains a popular Crucible weapon. With it on sale this weekend, don't be surprised to see a lot more of its explosive bursts. As such, it's worth picking up for players who don't yet have it.
Here's the complete rundown of Xur's entire stock for Oct 26:
