Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It's been an up and down week for many fans at the usual weekly reset. Bungie revealed more details for the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion known as Renegades, which adds its own Star Wars-inspired flavor to the world thanks to a collaboration with LucasFilm Games.
However, for as much excitement as that garnered, the accompanying Ash & Iron update for Destiny 2 seemingly fell flat for many. Bugs and other issues hampered players inside of the new Territories: Reclaim activity, while problems with the power leveling system seemingly remained in place. Bungie has outlined plans to fix these issues, with a new update coming at reset next week, though the situation has continued to frustrate the player base.
Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Activities, Challenges, and Rewards
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including activity rotations, seasonal challenges, and much more.
For now, though, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of September 12, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no need to hunt for the merchant around the solar system anymore.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor
Starting with the Edge of Fate expansion, Xur's role in the Tower has expanded a bit. While Xur no longer carries legendary armor, the merchant has increased his exotic offering by selling two pieces of gear for each class each week. Xur's new Destiny 2 inventory can still be found at the Tower Bazaar.

- Increase the damage of Solar weapons and Solar Ignitions based on the amount of Roaring Flames stacks you have. You are harder to suspend, slow, or freeze, and when you break out, you take no damage from doing so, creating a burst of Solar energy around yourself.
