Summary
- Xur has returned to Destiny 2 for the weekend, bringing legendary and exotic gear for purchase.
- This weekend, Xur has Cerberus+1, Trinity Ghoul, a new Hawkmoon roll, and The Wardcliff Coil.
- For exotic armor, Xur has Promethium Spur, Gwisin Vest, Dunemarchers, and class items.
Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. As expected, Bungie finally pulled the curtain back on Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost event. Bringing back the traditional gameplay of Haunted Sectors and collecting pages for the Book of the Forgotten, players have some new gear to acquire this time around. In addition to new perks on existing Festival weapons, a new Heavy Burst arc shotgun named Arcane Embrace can be obtained.
The bigger news for many plans came with the announcement that, for the first time, the exotic class items in Destiny 2 would now be available for purchase for anyone, regardless if Dual Destiny was completed or not. For 1 Eerie Engram and 2500 candies, players could purchase a randomly rolled exotic at Eva. Better yet, doing so would make these items available to farm in Overthrow chest from the Pale Heart as well as purchasable from Xur when they're in his inventory.
Speaking of Xur, the weekend merchant has returned with a new inventory of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of October 25, 2024.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur's Exotic Armor
Promethium Spur - Warlock leg armor
Exotic Perk:
- Embers of Light - Daybreak final blows create a healing and empowering Rift at the target's location. While a Solar Super is equipped, Solar weapon final blows grant Rift energy; standing in a Rift increases this energy. Final blows while in a Rift consume class ability energy to create a healing and empowering Rift at the target's location.
A very unfortunate roll this week for Warlocks with a spike in mobility and a low overall total. Either way, this is a safe skip this week.
Stat Values (62 Total):
- Mobility +18
- Resilience +2
- Recovery +12
- Discipline +7
- Intellect +14
- Strength +9
Gwisin Vest - Hunter chest armor
Exotic Perk:
- Roving Assassin - Each Spectral Blades kill you make before going into stealth will restore more of your Super energy.
While this was previously an easy skip, Episode Revenant provided a much-needed buff to many roaming supers, including Spectral Blades. As players continue to test out the best builds this episode, the Gwisin Vest is a great pickup for Spectral Blades users only.
Stat Values (64 Total):
- Mobility +12
- Resilience +11
- Recovery +10
- Discipline +9
- Intellect +12
- Strength +10
Dunemarchers - Titan leg armor
Exotic Perk:
- Linear Actuators - Increases sprint speed. Sprinting builds up a static charge. After melee-attacking an enemy, that charge will chain damage to nearby enemies.
Similar to the Warlock's exotic this week, the Dunemarchers have a very unfortunate roll with overly high Intellect and Mobility. It's another very hard item to recommend this week.
Stat Values (65 total):
- Mobility +19
- Resilience +3
- Recovery +10
- Discipline +6
- Intellect +25
- Strength +2
Xur Inventory Items

- MIDA Multi-Tool Catalyst
- The Xurfboard (Skimmer Board Vehicle)

- Exotic Engram
- Ascendant Shard
- Glimmer
- Enhancement Core
- Legendary Engram (3 for 17 Strange Coins)
- Strange Gift (Random Item for 1 Strange Coin)
Xur's Exotic Weapons
Year 7's Xur revamp has also added the ability to offer multiple exotic weapons in one visit. Here is what Xur has this weekend:
Hawkmoon - Hand Cannon
- Paracausal Shot - Final blows and precision hits with Hawkmoon grant stacks of Paracausal Charge. The final round in the magazine deals bonus damage based on the number of stacks. Stowing Hawkmoon on the final round removes this bonus.
- Chambered Compensator
- Alloy Magazine
- Hip-Fire Grip
- Combat Grip
Cerberus+1 - Auto Rifle
- Four-Headed Dog - Shoots erratic bullets from all gun barrels at the same time.
- Spread Shot Package - Aiming this weapon reduces the spread of its projectiles.
- Rifled Barrel
- Fluted Barrel

Trinity Ghoul - Combat Bow
- Split Electron - Fires an arrow that splits when released. Aiming down sights and fully drawing the bow both decrease the spread.
- Lightning Rod - Precision kills grant the next shot chain-lightning capabilities.
- High Tension String
- Compact Arrow Shaft
The Wardcliff Coil - Rocket Launcher
- Mad Scientist - This weapon fires a volley of rockets.
- Mechanized Autoloader - This weapon automatically reloads on ammo pickup.
- Volatile Launch
