Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Only days now remain until The Final Shape finally launches, though the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion partially leaked earlier than Bungie wanted. Earlier in the week, a portion of the expansion was accessed early, including parts of the campaign, reward details from the Echoes Episode, and other things seen from the Collections tab. While unfortunate, not everything was leaked and Bungie was quickly able to prevent any more from getting out.
Outside that unfortunate event, Bungie also released the launch trailer for Destiny 2: The Final Shape and fans were understandably concerned about some of the notable characters based on how they are framed in the footage. Notably, Commander Zavala seems to be wavering about whether to accept an offer to join The Witness, as it preys on his growing sense of loss and grief. Either way, the trailer seems to tease at a number of impactful twists and turns.
Destiny 2 Confirms All Items Being Vaulted With The Final Shape Launch
Bungie reveals all of the items that are being deprecated and vaulted from Destiny 2 once The Final Shape launches on June 4.
However, it's time to discuss the arrival of the exotic merchant Xur and the all-new selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of May 31, 2024.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, Destiny 2 players should head to Nessus.
Fast travel to Watcher's Grave, and follow the path north towards the forest area while avoiding the wide option section where the Vex world event appears. Find the massive tree near the road and climb it where Xur will be waiting.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur's Exotic Armor
Karnstein Armlets - Warlock gauntlets
Exotic Perks:
- Vampire's Caress - Melee and finisher final blows instantly grant cure and provide restoration for a short duration.
A great Warlock exotic with an okay distribution this week due to Mobility being higher than most people would like to see. Coming in at a 67 in total, these gauntlets can keep the player alive thanks to their ability to provide Cure and Restoration for melee kills and finishers..

Graviton Forfeit - Hunter helmet
Exotic Perk:
- Vanishing Shadow - Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased.
Outside of Orpheus Rig, this exotic is another big one for Nightstalkers thanks to its ability to further improve invisibility effects. The roll is a high one this week as well, so it's worth a pickup.

Actium War Rig - Titan chest armor
Exotic Perk:
- Auto-Loading Link - Steadily reloads a portion of your equipped Auto Rifle's or Machine Gun's magazine from reserves. Provides a moderate benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of Auto Rifles and Machine Guns.
The highest roll this week belongs to Titans, and Mobility isn't terribly high this week either, though the distribution still isn't amazing. For Auto Rifle or Machine Gun users, this exotic pairs incredibly well, especially for those who are going to be picking up Xur's exotic weapon this week.

Xur's Exotic Weapon
There are a lot of changes coming to Destiny 2 in the next few days and, while auto rifles aren't typically seen as the strongest picks, SUROS Regime can be a fun weapon with its ability to hit really hard and heal the player. Plus, Auto Rifles are getting a 15% PvE boost against minor enemies in The Final Shape, so it may be worth checking out.

- SUROS Legacy - The bottom half of each magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to return health on kill.
- Spinning Up - Holding down the trigger increases rate of fire.

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perks
At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
