Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. This week saw the latest version of Guardian Games arrives back in Destiny 2 for the next few weeks. As expected, the annual event pits the three classes against once another to complete challenges, earn medals, and see who can bank the most. However, this year's version adds a Diamond Tier to the typical Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, and Bungie promises that this can be a game changer when acquired.

However, for many fans, the biggest element to Guardian Games All-Stars is the arrival of a brand-new vehicle. Destiny 2 players have been raving about the Skimmer, a hoverboard that lets players bring an element of Tony Hawk into this universe. The Skimmer is essentially a rocket-powered hoverboard that can also grind on elemental energy and, so far, players have been testing the limits of what they can do. Outside of skipping major sections of activities like the Prophecy Dungeon, players have been able to go out of bounds of certain areas, Strand Grapple to hitch a ride, and much more.

Alongside Guardian Games, the weekend merchant Xur has returned again with a whole selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players over the next few days. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of March 8, 2024.

Where is Xur?

Destiny 2 players can find Xur back again at the Tower Hangar.

Fast travel to the Tower and upon loading in, take a left and head down towards the Tower area. Xur can be found on the left side of the Hangar on a metal platform overlooking the mountains off in the distance.

Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Xur's Exotic Armor

Apotheosis Veil - Warlock helmet

Exotic Perk:

Insatiable - Immediately regenerate health, melee, grenade, and Rift energy for te player and their nearby allies upon activating Super. After the Super ends, temporarily gain greatly increased melee and grenade regen.

A fairly even and balanced stat roll this week for the Apotheosis Veil, a helpful support-oriented Warlock exotic that can heal the entire party if super is triggered at the right moment.

The Sixth Coyote - Hunter chest armor

Exotic Perk:

Double Dodge - Gain a second dodge charge.

Less exotic and more useful than anything else is The Sixth Coyote, giving Hunters a valuable second dodge. The defining feature of this gear, however, is the massive stat roll, coming in at a 70 overall and a huge 30 Mobility. It may not be the most exciting piece of exotic armor, but it certainly is useful with many builds, so it is worth a purchase this week.

Ashen Wake - Titan gauntlets

Exotic Perk:

Bring the Heat - Fusion Grenades gain increased throw speed, explode on impact, and stun Unstoppable Champions. Final blows with Fusion Grenades grant grenade energy.

For players that are fusion grenade users, these are a solid option. Otherwise, they're an easy skip for everyone else. The other thing to consider is the roll this week, which is the lowest at a 64 and, unfortunately, features a higher than necessary Mobility stat for Titans.

Xur's Exotic Weapon

The exotic weapon this week is the Prometheus Lens, a solar trace rifle that, at one point, caused way more damage than intended for a weekend in the Crucible. While no where near as strong as it was back then, it can be a fun weapon to use, even if it isn't near the top of the exotic meta these days.

Weapon Perks:

Prismatic Inferno - Fires a Solar trace beam that creates a field of heat energy that grows as the weapon is fired. Sustained damage applies scorch to the target.
Flame Refraction - Kills with this weapon return a fraction of the ammo used to the magazine from reserves, extending the beam's duration.

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perk Rolls

At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
