Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. It's been a big week for players as Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate finally launched, kicking off a new era for the long-running online game. Alongside the expansion, Bungie released a massive new update which has already made some big adjustments and changes to the current sandbox.
However, the launch wasn't without its own hiccups, with Bungie devs even confirming upcoming fixes and improvements. The expansion launch also saw a concerning trend for the Destiny franchise, as the player count on PC hasn't seemingly recovered, as is typically the case with new content launches. In fact, Edge of Fate wasn't able to break 100k players on Steam on launch day and was less than a third of the players that logged in last year for The Final Shape.
Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Activities, Challenges, and Rewards
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is live and here are all of the new details including activity rotations, seasonal challenges, and much more.
In the meantime, however, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of July 18, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor
Starting with the Edge of Fate expansion, Xur's role in the Tower has expanded a bit. While Xur no longer carries legendary armor, the merchant has increased his exotic offering by selling two pieces of gear for each class each week. Xur's new Destiny 2 inventory can still be found at the Tower Bazaar.

- Standing in a rift creates Noble Seekers that seek out allies and heal them. Standing in an empowering rift creates Noble Seekers that grant both you and your ally a damage bonus. When a Noble Seeker finds an ally, you gain class ability energy. Increases the airborne effectiveness stat of the Hand Cannon Lumina.
