Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Fans are just a few days away from Episode Heresy, the last one of the trio before Destiny 2 launches Codename Frontiers over this summer and potentially a new era for the franchise.
In the meantime, Bungie gave fans their best look at Episode Heresy yet with a livestream that showcased a bunch of new information including The Nether activity and new weapons to acquire. Alongside reprised versions of Season of Arrivals and Vault of Glass weapons, Destiny 2 is adding a Heredical Arsenal set of weapons, all of them being able to use new Fragile Mods. These will be fairly limited, with each Act releasing a couple, and while they can help make the gun more powerful, they're only available for the length of the Episode.

For one final time in Episode Revenant, the exotic merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he's brought for the weekend of January 31, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there's no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

- Convert your Arc grenade into a Arc Soul and become amplified. The Arc Soul functions as an autonomous turret.

Vanishing Execution
- Powered melee final blows grant invisibility and restore a portion of health and shields. Finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase the duration of the invisibility and the amount of health and shields restored.
An already strong exotic item could be getting even better in Episode Heresy thanks to the arc-specific buffs coming like the Bolt Charge ability. The roll is pretty good for a melee build, even if the overall stat line is on the lower side, so this may be worth investing in for those who don't have it yet.
