Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. With the seasonal storyline seemingly at a standstill for a while, player attention has turned mostly to the features and mechanics of Destiny 2, specifically, how Bungie can continue improving the overall product. The Togetherness modifier in many Destiny 2 activities has been a target for fans as of late, which Bungie agreed to, at the very least, remove it from The Coil which should no doubt make some players a bit happier.
Another area where Bungie continues to tweak is with the PvP Crucible, as a recent Destiny 2 update made a number of changes to the Checkmate modifier. With it moving back into the Labs node, Bungie revealed additional tweaks including primary weapon time-to-kill, special ammo pulls being more frequently available, as well as changes to ability cooldowns to ensure that some don't feel as impractical to use as they did under the previous penalties.
For now though, Xur is back again with a whole selection of exotics and legendaries for Destiny 2 players over the next few days. Where is Xur?
This weekend, players can find Xur back in the Tower Hangar.
Simply fast travel to the main Tower waypoint and once loaded in, head to the left and follow the path to the hangar area. Head to the left side and approach the back where the catwalks and platforms overlooking the snowy mountains are as Xur should also be standing there waiting.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
Exotic Armor
Wings of Sacred Dawn - Warlock chest armor
Exotic Perk:
Tome of Dawn - When Dawnblade is equipped, aiming weapons while in midair will suspend the player for a short time, reducing incoming flinch and granting damage resistance. Weapon hits extend this effect's duration, and weapon final blows reload your Solar weapons from reserves. Provides a large benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
While the roll itself is pretty good, with a high total value including a massive Resistance spike, the exotic itself is hard to recommend, largely due to the fact that its defining trait leaves Warlock players exposed in midair, making them an easy target for enemies on the ground. The reload feature for solar weapons is nice, but there are much better options available.

Orpheus Rig - Hunter leg armor
Exotic Perk:
Uncanny Arrows - Provides ability energy for each target tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has an additional shot.
Although this remains a great exotic for Shadowshot players and regenerating super energy quickly, the roll isn't anything too exciting as it's the lowest of the three this week.

MK. 44 Stand Asides - Titan leg armor
Exotic Perk:
Seriously, Watch Out - Grants an overshield when sprinting at full health with Seismic Strike, Hammer Strike, or Shield Bash equipped and charged. Hits with these abilities recharge a portion of your melee energy.
The Stand Asides really tap into the Titan fantasy of punching things, though unlike the last time the MK. 44 Stand Asides were with Xur, the roll is much better here with a high Resilience to go along with it.

Exotic Weapon
Merciless is a heavy weapon that has high damage output, especially against a single target. It's a solid choice regardless of the mode, though Nightfalls and strikes make it a powerful option.
Conserve Momentum continually charges the weapon faster when players get non-lethal hits, with the cycle resetting once the final kill is achieved. Pair that with its other perk, Impetus, players gain increased damage for a short time after quickly reloading following a kill.

Hawkmoon Rolls
At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
