Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. This week, news came fast and furious regarding the near future of Destiny 2. The anticipated Into The Light event for Destiny 2 arrived and has proven to be a hit with players, taking on the Horde-style Onslaught mode, ranking up with Shaxx at the Hall of Champions, and searching for the best rolls of the BRAVE Arsenal.
However, this week also brought with it a lengthy developer livestream filled to the brim with new details for Destiny 2 The Final Shape. For many fans, the biggest reveal of this livestream wasn't the new enemy faction but the Prismatic subclass. Unlike the current Light and Dark subclasses, Prismatic is highly customizable, allowing players to mix and match various abilities from Solar, Void, Stasis, Arc, and Strand. Prismatic also adds a new meter, letting players fill both the light and dark sides to achieve Transcendence, which supercharges ability recharge rates, addes bonus weapon damage, resistance to enemy damage, and gives a new grenade that combines two elements dependent on the class using it.
Alongside the new content, the weekend has arrived and, so too has the merchant Xur with an all-new selection of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players over the next few days. Where is Xur?
This weekend, players will need to head to the Tower Hangar.
As usual, Fast Travel to the Tower and immediately head to the left down into the Hangar as one would to speak to Saint-14. After descending the stairs into the hangar, head to the left towards the back catwalks that overlook the mountains in the distance. Xur can be found over here.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur's role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they're necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur's Exotic Armor
Getaway Artist - Warlock gauntlets
Exotic Perk:
- Dynamic Duo - Convert your Arc grenade into an Arc Soul and become amplified. The Arc Soul functions as an autonomous turret.
A solid choice for arc subclass users who need a helping hand. Not only do players get an Arc Soul to assist the player for 20 seconds, but it also makes the player Amplified, which can certainly come in handy. The stat roll is also fairly interesting with extremely high marks for Recovery and Discipline, the latter of which is great for getting players' grenades back faster. The downside here is that the 2 very high stat spikes mean there are a few very low values as well, but players do have ways of making up for that.

Lucky Raspberry - Hunter chest armor
Exotic Perk:
- Probability Matrix - Increases the chaining capabilities of Arcbolt Grenades. Damaging enemies with Jolt lightning strikes and collecting Ionic Traces both grant additional Arcbolt Grenade energy. Arcbolt Grenades stun [Disruption] Overload Champions and delay their health regeneration.
This is an arcbolt only exotic, so it has very limited usability. Needless to say, this isn't a top tier exotic, so it's certainly not a must-buy for Hunters this week.

One-Eyed Mask - Titan helmet
Exotic Perk:
- Vengeance - Highlights the target who dares to damage you. Track down and destroy them for an overshield.
Titan's get the highest rolled stat line this week at a 67, though the worrying trend of overly high Mobility also remains in place alongside a 24 for Discipline. It's not nearly as strong as it once was years ago, but it's still a solid choice for PvP-related activities.

Xur's Exotic Weapon
While it may not be at the top of the current weapon exotic meta, the Hard Light is an extremely versatile auto rifle thanks to its ability to change the elemental type simply by reloading. As such, it's a capable weapon that excels in handling a lot of different content thanks to the ability to change elements on the fly.
Weapon Perks:
- Volatile Light - Rounds fired from this weapon have reduced damage falloff, overpenetrate targets, and ricochet off hard surfaces. Projectile damage increases after bounce.
- The Fundamentals - Changes this weapon's damage type, cycling between Solar, Arc, and Void. Grants different stats based on your selected damage type. Solar - Increases reload speed and aerial effectiveness. Arc - Increases handling and range. Void - Stability and aim assist.

Hawkmoon Hand Cannon Perks
At this point, Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
