How to Get Tier 5 Armor in Destiny 2

Tier 5 armor is an endgame reward exclusive to players who put in the work, as this gear is l ocked behind a Power Level of 390+. To have a chance to get Tier 5 Armor, players need to access the Grandmaster difficulty in The Portal and ensure that they have an A-rank set up in the difficulty modifiers. Only then will they be rewarded with Tier 5 armor for their hard work. This isn't for the faint of heart, as Grandmaster scales well over 400 Power, meaning players will need to bring their A-game for this A-rank activity. Tier 5 armor is not guaranteed, and players might get lucky enough to have it drop from other high-tier activities, but this is the most assured way.

What Does Tier 5 Armor Do in Destiny 2?

Tier 5 armor is the best armor in Destiny 2 because it comes with the most amount of stat distribution at 75+, meaning players can get a maximum of 100 stats on one piece of armor drop. Not only will players have more stats, but they will also have a total of 11 Energy Slots, beating out the default 10 Energy Slots that other Tier armor will have. Tier 5 armor also comes with an exclusive General Armor Mod to increase a piece of armor's Tuned stat by +5 points, at the cost of -5 points to the Health stat, which is a great trade-off considering Health is arguably the worst stat to invest in.
