Elsie's Rifle is shaping up to be one of the best Legendary Pulse Rifles in Destiny 2. Here a few god rolls to consider when farming this weapon.

The Recluse Overview

The Recluse used to be a Pinnacle weapon that dropped in the Year of Forsaken, and it used to come with a curated roll of Feeding Frenzy and Master of Arms. It is a Lightweight Frame Void Submachine Gun that dominated the PvE meta when it was released.

It has now been released again with the Origin Trait "Indomitability." This trait grants Grenade energy upon defeating targets if the player is in the Light subclass. If they are in the Dark subclass, it grants Melee energy. It can now also roll with a variety of new perk options, making it deadly in both PvE and PvP.

The Recluse PvP God Roll

PvP God Roll

The Recluse has decent enough stats to make it feel competitive in The Crucible. That being said, players should still pump the Range as much as possible. The Recluse's Stability and Handling are perfectly fine by default, meaning players must focus on Range by using Hammer Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, and a Range Masterwork.

In the left column, Dynamic Sway Reduction is the best perk option for The Crucible. It will continuously improve the Accuracy and Stability of the weapon while players are shooting it, making it much more accurate in a duel, In the right column, Tap the Trigger is the best PvP option as it grants a short period of increased Stability and Accuracy on the initial trigger pull. This, in combination with Dynamic Sway Reduction, allows The Recluse to be an extremely accurate dueling weapon.

Being a Void Submachine gun, The Recluse will work best if players take advantage of Volatile Rounds as a part of their Void kit. So, there are a few ways to set up the Recluse to work in PvE.

Barrels and Magazines are not that important in PvE, but players should focus on those that boost their Range and Reload Speed. The Hammer-Forged Rifling and Flared Magwell are the best options for PvE. For the left column, Subsistence is the best bet. In the right column, Frenzy is the all-around best perk option. To make the Recluse Void focused, choose Repulsor Brace in the left column with either Frenzy or Destabilizing Rounds in the right column to complement it.
