With Destiny 2 Warlocks only recently getting Strand Swarmers, many players are discovering unique interactions with them, including a clip of the hilarious destruction of a group of them. Bungie released Lightfall for Destiny 2 in February, introducing the Strand subclass for Warlocks through a new Exotic piece of armor that one player has already equipped.

Each Destiny 2 class has its own piece of special Exotic gear that brings a new strand subclass to the game, with Titans getting Abeyant Leap and Hunters getting Cyrtarachne's Facade. Because of how fresh the Destiny 2 Strand subclass is, many players are experimenting with the new Exotics and their abilities which lead to some moments that previously couldn't have happened. This Destiny 2 Warlock Guardian was messing around with their Strand Swarmers before they're destroyed in the most hilarious way possible.

Reddit user EverythingWorksFancy has garnered 1,500 upvotes on a Destiny 2 clip showing the quick devastation of their Strand Swarmers which are summoned after the player takes the high ground. Aiming at a lower platform of the map, EverythingWorksFancy manifests these Destiny 2 Strand Swarmers just before a Cabal pod drops from the sky and destroys the cluster within two seconds. The Destiny 2 clip concludes with not one remaining Swarmer, and the players left to fend off the multiple Cabal spawned from the pod for themselves, with EverythingWorksFancy lamenting their loss in the post.

Destiny 2 players commonly have to maintain movement during big firefights, and EverythingWorksFancy only really stops to use their Exotic armor skill to no avail. Given that the player couldn't see where the Destiny 2 Cabal drop-ship was going to land as they could with previous patches, the player only had an increased risk of the Strand Swarmers dying due to the open area. Though it's currently unclear if the players were successful in their attack on the Cabal, it's likely that the death of the Swarmers was just a setback and may have come off cooldown before it made a major difference.

Because the Destiny 2 Strand Swarmers were destroyed before the battle began, the subclass was rendered significantly weaker with the helpful ability on cooldown. Like with many summons in other games, the Destiny 2 Strand Warlock creatures will do damage to opponents while a player can maintain distance and land more accurate shots while the enemies are distracted.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
