Destiny 2's Presage mission is widely considered one of the game's best exotic missions to date. Originally released with Season of the Chosen, it was once feared that Presage might be vaulted along with other content that developer Bungie had chosen to remove from the game. Thankfully, Presage and other exotic missions were given a second chance with the introduction of the Exotic Mission Rotator in Season 22 — a tool that now allows players to enjoy three of the best exotic quests of past seasons.
The Exotic Mission Rotator, accessible through the Legends tab, acts as a home for fan-favorite seasonal exotic missions from Destiny 2's past. Here, players can play through a different exotic mission on either Normal or Legendary difficulty every week and reap their unique rewards. Presage becomes available every three weeks now in Destiny 2, and playing through it can prove to be a rewarding venture — especially for new players still looking to obtain the Dead Man's Tale exotic scout rifle.
Presage's Loot Table Explained
While Presage isn't available every week via the Exotic Mission Rotator, completion of it rewards players with a variety of weapons, including a craftable Dead Man's Tale. This is one of the most coveted weapons in the game, and now, with a craftable version of it made available, it's more valuable than ever. Apart from the Dead Man's Tale, players can expect to obtain loot from a pool of armor and weapons from Destiny 2's Season of the Haunted.
Players should note that Presage's rewards require ownership of Beyond Light or Season of the Chosen.

More to Know About Presage in the Exotic Mission Rotator
Aside from the fairly large pool of items made available in Presage every three weeks, there are a few noteworthy features players should be aware of before heading into the mission. These features directly affect the attainment of the Dead Man's Tale exotic scout rifle, as well as the pool that Season of the Haunted armor and weapons rewards are pulled from upon completion.
Dead Man's Tale Rewards
- The first completion of Presage will reward an Exotic Deepsight version of Dead Man's Tale.
- Each completion of Presage will reward an intrinsic upgrade for the Dead Man's Tale.
- Each completion of Presage on Legendary will reward a Catalyst upgrade for the Dead Man's Tale.
Armor and Weapon Rewards
- Once per week, players are guaranteed one Deepsight weapon belonging to a pattern they have not unlocked and one armor piece that has not been obtained.
- After every weapon pattern and armor piece have been obtained, players are rewarded with a random drop.
- Each completion of Presage will reward players with an additional non-Deepsight weapon from its weapon pool.
It's safe to say that Presage guarantees players an exciting experience in Destiny 2, both because of its design and its rewards. To take full advantage of everything Presage has to offer, players should check the Legends tab in the Director every week and play through the mission when it becomes available.
