Destiny 2: The Final Shape Review

Destiny 2's finale doesn't pull punches when it comes to providing an exciting story enriched with emotional complexion.

Reddit user geedijuniir recently shared a Destiny 2 clip in which they found a chest in the open but accidentally threw it into the water before being able to open it. The user was playing as a Titan, a class of Guardian that has great close combat power and becomes even stronger with certain Destiny 2 exotics. It seemed they were trying to reach the chest faster, so they charged against it with a strong melee attack. Unfortunately, the chest ended up being knocked into the water beyond the player's reach. As seen in the clip, even when the chest could no longer be seen, its label notification still showed up. The gamer then simply stared at the water in disbelief.

Destiny 2 Player Hilariously Loses a Chest

In the post, geedijuniir jokingly asks themselves why their brain shuts down when playing as a Titan and some users responded by saying that this is actually classic Titan behavior. Other commenters state how they did not know it was possible to lose a chest this way in Destiny 2. One user even joked that the chest might have contained the exotic class item the gamer had been wanting. The original poster has not elaborated further on the incident, so it is unclear if the chest respawned after logging in again or not. Loot chests tend to relocate after respawning, unlike Region chests, which players can find in specific locations. For example, there are a total of nine Region chests in the Pale Heart, each in a fixed spot.

The Final Shape has satisfied many Destiny 2 fans, and even though the Witness has been defeated and the Light and Darkness saga is officially over, developer Bungie has confirmed that this does not mark the end of the game and more content is on its way. Destiny 2 will continue to receive weekly updates and Nightfall strikes, along with new episodic story content every few months, which means gamers can expect more funny gameplay clips being shared on social media.
