Destiny 2' s Season of Opulence is nearly here, and just like every other season, it will come with a new set of pinnacle weapons to chase after. With the start of the last week of Season of the Drifter, Bungie released a Season of Opulence trailer showcasing some of the highlights for the next season, accompanied by a blog post detailing some more of the coming features. In the post, Bungie revealed the three new pinnacle weapons that players will be earning throughout the next season.

The Crucible pinnacle weapon is a sniper rifle called Revoker. The main perk for the weapon  returns missed shots to the magazine after a short time. It is not currently known how long it will take for the shots to return to the magazine, but considering considering how hard Bungie has been nerfing powerful weapons lately, it may be a longer time than some players may like. For the Vanguard, players will be earning the Wendigo GL3 grenade launcher. When players pick up Orbs of Light, it will increase the blast radius and damage of the weapon. Hopefully this will scale depending on the number of orbs for some ridiculous gameplay. For Gambit, players will earn the bow Hush. Hip-fired precision shots will give a "massive" increase to bow draw speed.

While some of the perks for these weapons don't sound too flashy, Destiny 2  players may just need to get their hands on them to find their true potential. Considering how Bungie nerfed Not Forgotten and Luna's Howl, it's no surprise that they aren't creating super powerful pinnacle weapons this time around so players aren't disappointed when they get nerfed. Hopefully if these weapons debut poorly, they will get a buff to make them worth the grind it will undoubtedly take to get them.

destiny 2 season of opulence pinnacle weapons

Season of the Drifter ends and Season of Opulence begins on June 4 and there are a lot of things to do before Season of the Drifter ends. Thankfully progress toward previous pinnacle weapons will carry over, though if players are in the middle of a rank for Gambit or Crucible, rank progression resets every season so that progress may be lost. Regardless, players will be able to track down the new pinnacle weapons soon enough.

Destiny 2  is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
