However, for some players, the advent of crafting has diminished that a bit as unlocking a weapon allowed players to make whatever they wanted rather than having to farm for it. Bungie also recognized this issue and made changes so Revenant specific weapons in Destiny 2 no longer drop with Deepsight, meaning players have to find the roll they want by looting them. However, this change has also seemingly caused players to discover a new controversy with legendary gear and perks not dropping.

As it turns out, Bungie confirmed an issue with Destiny 2 legendary perks being weighted incorrectly inside the game's code, making some perk combinations much harder to earn than others. The Tweet confirmed the team went through to ensure that each perk is weighted equally, but discovered an issue within the current perk pool RNG. Thankfully, Bungie has identified a solution and is working to validate the fix before releasing it.

For those hoping for a more detailed break down of what's going on, Bungie's update didn't shy away from revealing that information. However, the Tweet mentioned that the team is focused on correcting the issue, so once that work has been completed, details will be shared and will likely be added to a future blog post down the road. For now, players will need to be patient as Bungie works to fix the latest Destiny 2 controversy.

This perk weighting issue came to a head following the release of Destiny 2's Vesper's Host dungeon, which featured a highly sought after grenade launcher called VS Chill Inhibitor. Looking over the perk list, the stasis powered weapon featured a highly sought after combo of Envious Arsenal + Bait and Switch, though players have had a very hard time getting it to drop, with the roll being incredibly rare. Hopefully, once this fix arrives, players will have an easier time getting the perks they want.
