The Prismatic subclass in Destiny 2 offers a whole new dimension of buildcrafting thanks to all the many different combinations players can make. However, options are limited during the expansion's campaign, and players will need to put in some extra work if they want to truly unlock the full potential of their Guardian's new powers.
While the game does give you more options for your Prismatic class as you progress through the new Destiny 2 campaign, not all Aspects and Fragments will be handed out. Here's a quick overview of what you need to do, as well as some pointers for a few known Fragment locations.
How To Get More Prismatic Aspects And Fragments In Destiny 2
Unlock the Aspects and Fragments for the other subclasses, and the Prismatic ones are locked behind quests and exploration. Once you get your Prismatic subclass during the Transmigration mission in Destiny 2's latest expansion, you'll be stuck with your Guardian class' default Prismatic kit for a while. You'll unlock more (but not all) Aspects, Fragments, and abilities as you open Prismatic chests in later levels.
Once the campaign is done, you have to complete more quests and explore the Pale Heart to get the rest of your subclass unlocked. Specifically, you'll have to do the Destined Heroes quest, which will ask you to complete the Lost in Light and Found in the Dark subquests. These are ones that will grant you your missing Aspects and Supers.
Destiny 2: How To Get Wishful Ignorance
The Final Shape sees the arrival of Wishful Ignorance, a new Exotic set of Gauntlets for Titans who enjoy using Strand.
Fragments
Fragments, on the other hand, are a lot more complicated. While the game will hand some Fragments over to you as you play through the campaign, the rest can only be obtained by solving puzzles or finding them in the Pale Heart.
Some Fragments are also hidden in the campaign missions themselves. Here are the Fragment locations that we've found so far:
- Ascent (Campaign): In the broken plane on the snowy mountain. Look down the cliff to see a part of the plane containing the Fragment chest.
- Dissent (Campaign): Once you beat the boss and the area starts falling apart, head to the stairs and into the hall with the many pillars. Instead of turning right to follow the objective marker, keep going forward.
- Iconoclasm (Campaign): After the long climb up, in the area with the sliced-up Warbeast statue, head left instead of right.
- The Divide (Post-Campaign): From the fast travel point, head back into the wall's interior. Keep following the path, and you'll see a locked Prismatic Chest.
There are a total of 21 Prismatic Fragments in Destiny 2. Once we get a hold of them, we'll update this guide to include all our findings.
