The annual Guardian Games event for Destiny 2 has once again kicked off this year, and it's brought with some new loot and a shiny new title for players to show off. Like other events, the one for Guardian Games 2023 isn't too hard to obtain, but it'll definitely ask a lot of time from Guardians who want it to their list of in-game achievements.

The event title in question is aptly called Champ, and it's designed to make players jump through all the hoops related to this year's Guardian Games. Players should expect to sink in a fair bit of time and effort for this one, and they'll have until the end of Destiny 2 Season of Defiance to get all the necessary objectives done. Here's how to unlock this title.

Players must complete at least 16 of the 20 following Triumphs to get the Champ title:

  • Pull Some Strings - Defeat targets or assist teammates with Strand damage and abilities
  • Good Games - Defeat targets in Supremacy matches or Guardian Games playlists
  • Classy Arsenal - Defeat targets with Guardian Games weapons
  • In The Cards - Complete Contender and Platinum Cards
  • Up for the Challenge - Complete Guardian Games Ops Nightfalls
  • Class Pride - Complete Supremacy or Guardian Games Playlist activities with special matchmaking
  • Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum - Bank medals (these are four different Triumphs with the same objective)
  • Cloudrunning - Complete activities on Neptune
  • In It to Win It - Earn a medallion from completing activities and bank it at the podium
  • Friend Rivalry - Complete Crucible, Gambit, or Supremacy matches
  • Circuit Training - Complete Dares of Eternity, Vanguard Ops playlist activities, or Defiant Battlegrounds
  • Talented Scout - Defeat targets with Scout Rifles
  • Crest Collector - Earn points in Supremacy by picking up crests from opponents
  • Going the Distance - Bank medals at the Tower
  • Hall of Fame - Complete a Guardian Games Nightfall without dying and complete a Supremacy match with a score of at least 30
  • Record Setter - Complete Platinum Contender Cards
  • Grand Slam - Reach the Platinum score threshold in the Guardian Games Nightfall playlist.

These Triumphs aren't particularly hard, but they do involve playing a lot of Destiny 2. The medal-related ones, in particular, can be very time-consuming. Make sure to wear a Guardian Games class item and grab Contender Cards from Eva Levante to maximize the number of medals earned per play session.

The Guardian Games Triumphs also reward a variety of cosmetics as well as Upgrade Modules and Enhancement Cores. Players who are struggling to keep their arsenal up to snuff should definitely try clearing these Triumphs out, even if it's just for the free materials alone.

Destiny 2 is available now on Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
