Solstice of Heroes returns for Destiny 2's third year with a new armor set to earn for each character alongside dozens of new Eververse cosmetics. Similar to Year 2, players will be given an armor set from Eva Levante in the Tower that has challenges tied to each piece. Completing these challenges will rank up the armor and grant new challenges.

Unlike last year, players can unlock a white glow on their armor upon completing every challenge on the Magnificent armor set, the highest tier of Solstice armor. This four-week event is also the perfect time to farm armor in the European Aerial Zone and wreak havoc with double-duration Supers. Here is a complete guide on how this event works and what challenges players can expect for each armor set.

8 Renewed, Majestic, And Magnificent Armor

Destiny 2 Solstice Classes Cropped

Eva Levante will give players a Rare set of armor during the start of the event. Each armor piece has three challenges that must be finished before the armor can be upgraded to the next tier. There are three armor tiers for Solstice armor: Renewed, Majestic, and Magnificent.

Completing the Renewed challenges on all armor will grant the Majestic set, completing the Majestic challenges grants the Magnificent armor set, and completing the Magnificent armor challenges unlocks a white glow on the Solstice armor. Unlike the previous two tiers, completing the Magnificent armor objective requires one difficult challenge per piece instead of three.

7 The European Aeriel Zone

Destiny 2 EAZ

Some of the challenges tied to the Solstice armor require players to defeat opponents in the European Aeriel Zone. The EAZ is a matchmade activity that runs parallel to the event similar to Festival of the Lost's Haunted Forest. Players get five minutes to defeat as many minibosses in the EAZ as possible. Most will appear on rooftops or in buildings, so it's key that players use their Sparrows and take advantage of vertical movement.

Once the time limit expires, players defeat a final boss before embarking on a treasure hunt for two and a half minutes. The number of chests that spawn during this phase is equal to the number of bosses players defeated previously, so kill efficiency and coordination are key to maximizing rewards. These chests can give randomly rolled Solstice armor, Solstice Packages that grant random loot, and Solstice Key Fragments, which are used to open Solstice Packages.

6 Elemental Orbs

While Solstice of Heroes is live, every day will have an elemental singe selected that will influence every activity. Defeating enemies with that element will spawn elemental orbs for Guardians to grab. Collecting 30 will grant the Empowered buff for 30 seconds, doubling Super duration while providing a buff based on the element.

Arc Empowerment grants increased movement speed and sword damage, Solar Empowerment damages targets that are near the player, and Void Empowerment grants invisibility and Truesight while the player is crouched. Players can generate additional orbs by using a weapon and Subclass that match the daily singe.

Most of the challenges on the Renewed and Majestic armor sets overlap with each other. For example, the EAZ challenges can all be complete simultaneously if the player brings a specific loadout that fulfills the weapon, Subclass, and elemental orb requirements. Generating Elemental Orbs is easiest when the player uses a Subclass and weapon that both match with the daily singe.

The Guardian defeats can be done in either Gambit or Crucible, but skilled players will have better luck playing Rumble or Quickplay to progress these steps. As for the Magnificent challenges, it would be best to find other like-minded Guardians through a clan or LFG services outside of Destiny. Progress on the Magnificent challenges is shared across all characters if each character has the Magnificent armor set, so it's best to complete all previous challenges on every character before tackling the final armor objectives.
