For any players who may be having a hard time with beating the Grandmaster Nightfall in Destiny 2, a solution has been found that can at the very least make the final boss considerably more manageable. While not necessarily a legit strategy, this cheese will allow players to essentially bypass the entire boss encounter completely, taking an easy win and earning a Grandmaster completion with minimal effort towards the end of the fight.
This new strategy comes from YouTuber Cheese Forever, a Destiny 2 player who often shares how to easily beat some of the hardest encounters in the game. With the difficulty of the Grandmaster Nightfalls, this actually isn't the first time that the highly difficult challenges have been cheesed, although it is one of the more reliable methods for the particular strike shown.
The specific cheese in question takes place in the strike The Corrupted which players will recognize having been added during Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion. In order to pull off the cheese, players will have to take light orbs from the elevator section of the strike and keep them until they arrive at the initial encounter with the final boss. From there, players simply have to use the orbs in order to knock off the boss' shield before starting the encounter with her and whittle her health down from the platform just before the fight starts.
There is a certain amount of finesse that is necessary in order to pull this trick off, however, as the team of three players will still have to fight their way through the first half of the strike normally, and carry these orbs all the way through. Regardless of the slight difficulties that come with having to cycle the orbs around, the payoff is huge, as it easily removes half of the strike along with bypassing dozens of powerful enemies. As a result, players can earn Umbral Engrams and other high level rewards with considerably less effort than would be required for the completing the incredibly difficult encounter in the intended way.
Previously, Cheese Forever has also shown how to create a "god mode" Titan build that can burn through most of the enemies in the Grandmaster Nightfall. So, for fireteams that are having trouble completing one of Destiny 2's most difficult challenges in order to farm Umbral Engrams, among other rewards, this could be a usable way for players to earn a win. However, these types of strategies often get patched out as soon as they're found, so anyone looking to try may want to act fast.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
