There's no shortage of Linear Fusion Rifles in the game, and while Eyes Unveiled from Destiny 2 Episode: Heresy may not seem special, it's got one particular god roll that makes it stand out among its brethren.

Eyes Unveiled can potentially be crowned as one of the best Linear Fusion Rifles in Destiny 2 when it comes to taking out priority targets, but for it to reach that level of power, it needs to have one very particular perk. Like everything else, this weapon has a lot of good perks in its pool, but one roll in particular makes Eyes Unveiled feel more special compared to other Legendary LFRs.

Since Heavy Linear Fusion Rifles are mainly used against enemy Combatants with high health, this guide will only cover the best Eyes Unveiled God Rolls for PvE.

Sustained Damage and AoE Rolls

Eyes Unveiled is a Void Linear Fusion Rifle that works much like all others of kind. The Sustained Damage and AoE god rolls listed above aren't exactly special, but they'll still work relatively well for their intended purposes.

  • Triple Tap and Frenzy let players keep firing at a target while enjoying a small damage boost. This is generally good for fighting bosses and other tanky targets.
  • Overflow and Chain Reaction help players clear large waves of weak enemies. The former gives them enough ammo to take full advantage of the latter's AoE damage potential.

Again, these two rolls aren't necessarily best-in-class. Cataclysmic from the Vow of the Disciple raid will outperform Eyes Unveiled in terms of pure DPS, and you can expect other LFRs with Chain Reaction or other AoE perks to match this one's performance against crowds as well.

The Season Roll (Field Prep/Discord Roll)

This is where things get interesting. Discord is a perk that does two things: when active, it increases ADS speed, accuracy, and airborne effectiveness, and it refunds ammunition for its weapon whenever it lands a Final Blow. Being a Linear Fusion Rifle, Eyes Unveiled can one-shot many enemies, especially minor/red-bar ones, which means you can use this weapon without running out of ammo in scenarios with high enemy density.

The reason why we've referred to this as a Seasonal Roll is that much of its power relies on what Artifact mods are available. Having infinite ammo is good and all, but if your weapon doesn't do much damage, you might as well use something else. In Episode: Heresy, we have the following Artifact mods:

  • Volatile Marksman: Rapid Void Precision Hits and rapid weapon Final Blows grant Void weapons Volatile Rounds.
  • Maligned Harvest: Rapidly applying causes your next instance of Void damage to create a Weakening pulse.
  • Void Flux: Defeating Weakened targets with a Void weapon applies Volatile to nearby targets.

Of course, you can compensate for the loss of Artifact mods by using different Aspects, Fragments, or Exotic equipment. Still, Artifact mods contribute a lot to the power of Eyes Unveiled, so make sure to check what's available and see what works with what you've got.
