Destiny 2 offers a variety of game modes for players to check out, like PvP through the Crucible playlists, PvP through Vanguard playlists, and a mix of both PvP and PvE with Gambit. There are different experiences within those modes as well, with Vanguard letting players check out Battlegrounds, Strike maps, and Nightfalls, and the Crucible giving players a range of PvP modes to check out.

There are some Crucible modes that cycle in and out of Destiny 2, but one constant is the Elimination game mode. This 3v3 game mode has simple rules. Everyone gets a single life each round with no respawns, but players are able to revive their downed teammates. It fosters a more competitive atmosphere than the other Destiny 2 Crucible modes that aren't Trials of Osiris and can lead to some rather intense encounters.

It's not uncommon for Destiny 2 players to find "sweatier" opponents and teammates in Elimination than they would in, say, Control, with most players going all out trying to win. This can also lead to some frustration, and so it's not terribly uncommon for people to rage quit matches of Destiny 2 Elimination. Players quitting Elimination in Destiny 2 can result in a 3 on 1 situation, where one person decides to see the match to its conclusion despite their extremely low odds of winning.

That's exactly what happened with Destiny 2 player and Reddit user A_Bic_Boi, who shared a wholesome clip of the last time that this happened to them in Elimination. Their teammates quit after losing the first two rounds of Elimination, and while that would've meant an easy victory for the enemy team, they instead decided to make peace.

The clip shows the Destiny 2 players emoting with A_Bic_Boi on the map Exodus Blue before they all run away and jump off to their demise. Everyone on the enemy team then decides to quit the match, which results in an automatic victory for A_Bic_Boi. Crucible victories help players level up their rank and get better rewards, so this was definitely a nice gesture on the part of A_Bic_Boi's opponents, especially since they had a massive advantage with the 3 on 1 scenario.

Victories in Destiny 2's Crucible are especially important for those who are trying to complete all of the seasonal challenges. Completing all of the seasonal challenges in Destiny 2's Season of the Lost requires players to reach max level in Crucible twice so they can get a seasonal ornament, so every victory counts.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
