There are a lot of narrative-driven experiences in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, and if you find yourself getting lost in the context of the main campaign, the various side stories around Kepler might shed some light on things. Sacred Emergence is one of these quests, and it's all about our favorite ex-Emissary, Orin.

Sacred Emergence is a sidequest that players can do at any time after it becomes available in Destiny 2. It's pretty short, but since it involves finding things that are hard to spot, it's bound to give some Guardians trouble. Here are all the important things you need to know about the Sacred Emergence quest.

Destiny 2: Sacred Emergence Walkthrough

Destiny 2 Sacred Emergence quest starting point on map

This quest begins once you find one of Orin's shedded corpses on Kepler. The first one is underground, and you'll need to use Matterspark to enter your ball form to reach it. Interact with the corpse, and Orin will ask you for help with finding her other molts.

You can freely use Matterspark from anywhere on Kepler after finishing Edge of Fate's campaign.

There are three molts for you to find, and you can get them in any order. To make things easier, make sure to track Sacred Emergence on your Quests tab so you can easily see which ones you still need to do. Otherwise, check your map and look for the individual quest markers.

Central Academy Orin Molt Location

Destiny 2 Sacred Emergence First body location

Orin's molt at the Central Academy can be found in the room with the two train cars. Fight your way through the Vex and Fallen, then look for the molt between one of the train cars and the big pillar in the middle of the room.

Outer Wastes Orin Molt Location

Destiny 2 Sacred Emergence Outer Wastes molt location

You can find Orin's molt in the Outer Wastes on a cliff next to a building. You can skip all the enemies in this area and head straight for the molt, though defeating the rare enemy that spawns here may net you some extra destination materials.

Exile's Accord Orin Molt Location

Destiny 2 Sacred Emergence Exile's Accord Molt Location

The molt in Exile's Accord involves more steps compared to the others. You'll first need to move the metal platforms on the sludge pool using Matter Realignment, then fire a Relocator shot at one of the nearby relays. This will bounce your Relocator shot to a portal platform that leads to the shield barrier controls. Deactivate the shield barrier, then enter the newly-opened passage to find Orin's molt.

Find Orin and Search for Gol

After getting all three molts, follow the next quest marker and find Orin standing in a secluded spot in the Gorge. After speaking her, follow the new quest marker to a nearby spot — once you arrive there, some Vex will ambush you. Clear them out, then search the area for traces of Gol, Orin's Ghost.

You can find a Ghost shell near the large spore mass against the rock wall. Pick the Ghost shell up to get a Kepler weapon and Fated Ciphers as your reward for completing the quest..
