Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate makes a permanent change to endgame content with the Portal, a centralized HUB to allow players to choose different activities with a plethora of optional modifiers to increase rewards. The best reward that players can get in Destiny 2 is through the A-Rank, so players will want to know what modifiers will get them to the A-Rank as quickly as possible, without making the activity too challenging, as nobody wants to add Combatant Power if they don't need to.
Destiny 2: All Data Pad Locations for Week 1
Players can find all 18 Data Pads for Destiny 2's Week 1 Seasonal Challenges right here so that they can gain all the XP they need.
If you are wondering why you should go for A-Rank in Ops activities, it's because it will provide the highest boost to Power in completion Engrams.
Best Difficulty Modifiers For A-Rank in Destiny 2
What Difficulty Modifiers Make an Easy A-Rank?
The easiest way to get an A-Rank through difficulty modifiers in The Portal is by using the Equipment Locked Activity modifier in the Player Stakes tab. This modifier will add loadout restrictions, meaning players are unable to change out their loadouts throughout the entire activity. While this might mean no hotswapping to other builds for damage and different encounters, most players should have a build that they can confidently run through the activity that they have selected. Choosing the Equipment Locked Activity is perfect, as it grants a x5 Challenge Multiplier. For most difficulties, like Expert, players will not need any additional modifiers to hit A-Rank, but players in Master and Grandmaster might.
Since Master and Grandmaster is far harder than Expert due to the Combatant Power level, players will still want to use Equipment Locked Activity, but alongside other Challenge Modifiers. Players do not want to select Challenge Modifiers that will provide +20 Combatant Power, as that will simply put them in a bad time. Instead, rely on +10 Combatant Power Challenge Modifiers in the Faction Drop and Minor Negative Modifiers, as these will provide players with modifiers that might boost Combatant Power, but they will not really give enemies a tactical advantage, as all these modifiers do is drop a trap when enemies are eliminated.
