To solve the Chessboard puzzle in Destiny 2 Episode Heresy, players will have to collect all 60 Chess Pieces spread across the Nether, the landing locations, on Eris Apartment, the Court of Blades, the Tower, and The Drifter. Once players have collected all pieces, they need to start the challenge by going to Eris Morn Throne world, and jumping from the edge of the platform to the hidden room below.
Once there, approach the chessboard in the middle of the circular room and interact with it. Guardians will be taken to a special instance where there's a gigantic chessboard.
Now, taking into consideration the spawn zone, from Left to Right, the columns are designated: A - B - C - D - E - F - G - H, and the rows are designated 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 (bottom to tops). The glowing icons in the platforms represent a 'move,' and standing over the platform and shooting one of the squares executes that move.
Players will also notice 2 extra moves to the sides. To the left we have 'Delete,' which deletes the piece standing on the square players shoot, and to the right we have 'Take,' which will convert a piece from white to black or black to white. Once the chessboard is assembled, turn around and climb to the platform, look for the Activator (similar to those found in the Dreadnought), and interact when it says 'Submit Answer.'
