Destiny 2: Adhortative God Rolls Guide

The Adhortative returns from Destiny 2's Season of the Undying as a reprised weapon in Season of the Wish. It's got a refreshed pool of perks that makes it a bit more competitive in the modern sandbox, and there are a few interesting rolls for it that can turn the gun from just alright to amazing.

While some players might get turned off by the fact that the Adhortative is an Adaptive Frame Pulse Rifle, there's plenty of value to be had with this gun in both PvE and PvP. Here are some god rolls for this weapon as well as some general notes about the perks it has.

In PvE, the Adhortative is a decent mid-range weapon that can complement Solar builds if it rolls with either Golden Tricorn or Incandescent. Both perks synergize with Solar subclasses, and players can't go wrong with either of these on any weapon. Meanwhile, Attrition Orbs can feed the team's Supers and abilities when fighting anything that can survive approximately 70% of the Adhortative's magazine size.

In the Crucible, Adaptive Pulse Rifles are often outshined by the rest of the archetypes. However, it's worth noting that a single stack of Golden Tricorn is enough to significantly reduce the Adhortative's optimal TTK. With the buff active, this weapon can eliminate T10 Resilience Guardians with six headshots, putting the Adhortative on par with the likes of The Messenger and Disparity in terms of pure lethality. Radiant also buffs the weapon's damage value to a similar degree, and any subclass can get Radiant during Season of the Wish thanks to the Flint Striker seasonal mod.

With the Radiant buff in mind, players can also go with a Headseeker roll to improve the Adhortative's consistency and forgiveness. The extra aim assist it provides makes activating Flint Striker easier, though triggering the mod via Precision Hits in PvP is often only possible when there are multiple enemies on the screen. Players will still want to get Radiant from their Solar Fragments instead of relying completely on Flint Striker during seasons when the mod is available.

The third column of perks for the Adhortative doesn't have much that improves the gun's consistency in PvP. The best perks here are Feeding Frenzy and Heal Clip since they can help players chain kills more easily when paired with Golden Tricorn.
