Up until Episode Heresy, there was only one Support Frame auto rifle in Destiny 2. Support Frame auto rifles can heal allies with projectiles and are a more niche choice compared to traditional auto rifles. The Admantite is a Strand Support Frame auto rifle, and apart from doing everything a healing weapon does, it also increases allies' weapon damage and spawns Unraveling projectiles around them.
This guide covers the definitive Adamantite god rolls for both PvE and PvP in Destiny 2, alongside a couple of alternative perks, depending on your build and playstyle.
Destiny 2: Best Auto Rifles For Your Build
Guardians in Destiny 2 have quite an assortment of weapons to choose from. These are the best ones for your build.
Destiny 2: Adamantite PvE God Roll
The main reason to use Adamantite over No Hesitation (Solar Support Frame auto rifle) is that it's a Strand weapon that goes into your Kinetic slot. If you're running a support-oriented Strand build or need a specific Exotic in your Energy slot, Adamantite is a solid option.

For a full healing build, there's Reciprocity with Circle of Life. Reciprocity grants a small amount of health when healing allies, and Circle of Life grants a 25% damage buff for 10 seconds when rapidly healing allies, perfectly synergizing with each other. On top of that, the ability to create Unraveling projectiles at allies' locations makes up for the lack of AoE damage that most god roll primary weapons have.
Adamantite also has a perk combination for maximum Strand synergy. Slice in the third column allows you to Sever targets within 8 seconds of casting a class ability. You can pair it with Tear to make nearby targets Severed on precision kills or Hatchling to spawn Threadlings, depending on your build.
Destiny 2: Adamantite PvP God Roll
Although a niche one, there's a play to be made for Adamantite in PvP. Healing using this archetype can be a decider in a round, but the auto rifles on their own aren't nearly as strong in PvP as some of the other weapon types in the sandbox.

The third column is lackluster when it comes to PvP perks, with Reciprocity being the only relatively decent option. Reciprocity grants a small amount of healing when healing teammates using this weapon. This isn't much, especially if you have high Recovery, but it could be enough to throw off an optimal time-to-kill for the opposing team.
You can pair Reciprocity with Kill Clip for 25% increased damage when reloading after a kill or Circle of Life for a 12.5% damage increase when rapidly healing allies. The choice mainly depends on your playstyle, as Kill Clip requires a kill to activate. However, both perks lower the optimal time-to-kill from 0.7 to 0.6 seconds, and in the case of Kill Clip against Guardians with Tier 7 Resilience and below, to 0.5 seconds.
How to Get Adamantite in Destiny 2
Adamantite drops from The Nether in Destiny 2. It's a rogue-lite activity with limited health regeneration and Boons (buffs) that can improve your run. After completing an encounter of The Nether that consists of three smaller objectives, you get a chest with loot. There are also secrets and chests scattered across the Dreadnaught in this activity that can drop Adamantite.
The weapon comes in base, shiny, Adept, and shiny Adept variants, with shiny ones having two perks in each column and an additional Runneth Over Origin Trait. Adept variants only drop from the Expert difficulty, but if you want to farm it solo, you can complete one encounter of The Nether and then reload to do it again. You can also set the Tome of Want to drop an Episodic auto rifle for additional copies.
