This post contains SPOILERS for the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle arc.
Summary
- In Demon Slayer, Nakime uses her Blood Demon Art to create and control the Infinity Castle, a pocket dimension.
- Nakime can change the surroundings of the Infinity Castle or manipulate the gravity inside the dimension.
- The Upper Moon Four stays loyal to Muzan, the Demon Lord, until the very end.
Demon Slayer has introduced us to several powerful demons, including Kokushibo, the Upper Moon One in Muzan's army. Apart from him, we have seen the might of Gyutaro, Daki, Akaza, and, of course, Doma. Interestingly, we have also seen glimpses of the Demon King Muzan's power in different instances. However, there's still one demon, an Upper Moon, in fact, that has remained a mystery in the series.
Yes, we are talking about none other than Nakime, the demon who is currently sitting at the rank of Upper Moon Four. We have rarely seen Nakime in the Demon Slayer anime, and any time that we saw her, we failed to understand this demon's astonishing abilities. Of course, Kokushibo or Upper Moons are more powerful, but we must realize that Nakime boasts the most impressive blood demon art.
Demon Slayer: Akaza vs Kokushibo, Who Was Stronger?
Akaza and Kokushibo are some of the most powerful demons alive. Which of the two stands as the strongest?
Nakime's Blood Demon Art Is Truly Extraordinary In Demon Slayer
We Will See The Full Extent Of Her Blood Demon Art In Infinity Castle
It's true that every Upper Moon is important for Muzan; however, when it comes to the Blood Demon Art, Nakime surely serves the most important purpose. Other Upper Moon demons like Kokushibo are better fighters, but Nakime's ability to control the Infinity Castle makes her stand out in the crowd. For the unacquainted, Infinity Castle doesn't exist in the physical world, as it is a pocket dimension created solely by Nakime. She used her incredible Blood Demon Art, which she triggers by playing her Biwa instrument, to create this massive, hidden, and untouched lair for her master and other demons. Also, let's not forget that sunlight can't reach Infinity Castle, so Muzan and other demons can roam freely within the Infinity Castle. Honestly, it wouldn't have been possible for Muzan to stay hidden from the Demon Slayer Corps if not for Nakime.
Not only does Nakime create a pocket dimension that consists of an infinite number of floors and rooms, but she can also control each and every part of Infinity Castle. That's not the extent of it, as Nakime can also manipulate the gravity inside this pocket dimension. Do you remember how Nakime sucked Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers from the physical world into Infinity Castle? Well, that was something that even the strongest of Demon Slayers couldn't prevent. And just like that, Nakime can manipulate the structure of the Infinite Castle in the blink of an eye.
"I am very honored."- Nakime (Upon being praised by Muzan)
Nakime can teleport herself or any other demon to a different part of the castle. In fact, she can use this ability to teleport someone in and out of the castle. We have seen her doing that with Hantengu and Gyokko when she teleported them to the Swordsmith Village directly from the Infinity Castle. That's why Nakime was also able to pull in Muzan and the Demon Slayers into the Infinity Castle. Muzan was having trouble at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, and at that moment, he could only trust the Blood Demon Art of Nakime.
Nakime's Blood Demon Art Will Create A Lot Of Trouble For Demon Slayers
She Will Be The Last Upper Moon To Die In Infinity Castle
Obanai Iguro and Mitsuri Kanroji will try to take on Nakime during the Infinity Castle arc, and let's just say that taking down this Upper Moon won't be easy for the Hashiras. Apparently, Nakime will use the castle, an entire dimension, against the demon slayers. Every time Obanai and Mitsuri get close to Nakime, the demon will teleport them somewhere else or change their surrounding. While the Hashiras will put in their every effort to land a hit on Nakime, the demon will stall the duo until the very end.
Interestingly, every Upper Moon, including Kokushibo, will fall prey to the Demon Slayers, but Nakime will survive until the very end. In fact, when Tanjiro and his allies move their attention towards Muzan, the demon lord seeks the help of the last-standing Upper Moon. Obanai barely gets out alive after Nakime drops a massive portion of the castle on him. At this point, even Hashiras realize that getting close to Nakime is a behemoth task, and it's best for them to focus their attention towards Muzan. So, instead of trying to kill Nakime, Yushiro takes over Nakime's vision. By doing that, Yushiro was able to use Nakime's Blood Demon Art against Muzan.
Demon Slayer: Every Fight That Will Happen In the Infinity Castle Arc, Ranked
The Infinity Castle arc is an intense one. It features many exciting fights from Demon Slayer.
That's right; Muzan's strongest weapon became his biggest threat. Muzan tried to retake control of Nakime's mind, but he couldn't take his feet off the battlefield. Even the Demon Lord finds it difficult to use his mind-control powers while engaging in direct combat with the Hashiras. However, the Infinity Castle becomes an obstacle for Muzan at this point, so he decides to kill Nakime himself. In the end, it wasn't Tanjiro or any other demon slayer who killed Nakime; it was the Demon Lord himself.
