With Infinity Castle Part 2 edging closer, expectations were high from the Studio Ufotable event for a new information drop. As expected, this Ufotable event was an exciting one, and it definitely exceeded many fans' expectations. The studio revealed some major projects, such as a new teaser for the Genshin Impact anime. However, for Demon Slayer fans, it ended up being a disappointment. While Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 was mentioned, the only update that fans got was that this movie is still in the works at Ufotable. Given that production for this movie is still ongoing, a 2026 release is automatically impossible. If it were coming in 2026, fans would have at least gotten a confirmation by now, as well as major promotional content too.

Ufotable won't handle two major movie releases in one year, especially with other projects in the works. Either way, the wait is still long, and fans will have to be patient and let the studio work adequately on this new installment to bring out the best product possible.
