This article contains some spoilers for the Demon Slayer series.
The Demon Slayer series, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba, is one of the biggest anime series at the moment. Demon Slayer has been popular for a few years now, but its popularity exploded again very recently. This was all thanks to its newest hit movie, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza’s Return. This movie is already huge, even though it has yet to fully release globally. Some would say it’s the best anime movie of recent years, too.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Faces Criticism From Fans Despite Major Success
Demon Slayer's newest movie is a hit, but fans are complaining about the battles.
With all this hype surrounding the new Demon Slayer movie, many might be wondering when Infinity Castle Part 2’s release date will be. After all, Akaza’s Return is only one of three movies in the final trilogy for Demon Slayer. While no official confirmation has been given, the release window for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 is expected to be 2027.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Might Release in 2027
Recent Rumors and Production Time Indicate A 2-Year Wait
Many fans want to know when the second movie of the Demon Slayer trilogy will be released, but as of now, there isn’t an exact release date, only speculation. Some sources have claimed that the Infinity Castle Part 2 movie will drop in 2027, and that date is definitely believable. It would be just two years after the first one, which is an ideal wait time for fans — not too soon to risk a rushed movie, but not so long that fans lose interest. The third movie is also expected to follow a similar pattern, releasing two years after the second one, which would place it around 2029.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Is Set To Beat The Superman Movie
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is huge, and it's even on its way to surpassing Superman.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Could Surpass Akaza’s Return
- Intense Battles Are Brewing In Infinity Castle
- Kokushibo and Doma Will Be the Biggest Threats
While most Demon Slayer fans are heavily focused on Akaza’s Return at the moment—and for good reason—it’s not impossible to say the second movie could surpass this one. Akaza’s Return featured some intense battles, but what Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 has in store could be on a whole other level.
Infinity Castle Part 1 only showed the downfall of Upper Rank Moon 3, Akaza. However, Part 2 will depict the downfall of both Upper Rank 1 and 2, Kokushibo and Doma. These battles will be even harder for the Hashira and other Demon Slayers.
Demon Slayer fans who don’t want to wait for the movies to drop can check out the manga on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has four seasons, all available on Crunchyroll. The remaining story will, however, be adapted into movies, which fans will have to wait to watch during their theatrical releases, depending on their country.
