The Strongest Demon Ability — Superior Regeneration

Akaza Will Be Able To Regenerate His Head

With the recent trailer dropping, fans have been more excited than ever about the new Demon Slayer movie to drop. The upcoming Demon Slayer movie will cover the first part of the Infinity Castle, Demon Slayer’s most intense arc.

In the Infinity Castle, Demon Slayers will be faced with the biggest threats of the series — the Upper Rank Demons. Out of these Upper Ranks, the top three are the most intimidating and powerful, and none of them will be easy to take down.

With so many powerful Demons present, some powerful abilities are bound to be showcased - and the most impressive ability is not a Blood Demon Art, but rather a high level of regeneration.

In the first movie, Akaza, the Upper Rank Three Demon will show his superior regeneration. At one point in the movie, Akaza is going to get his head cut off by Tanjiro’s Nichirin blade during their battle. This would mark the end of most demons - but not Akaza. Akaza was actually able to regenerate his head, and the fight ended on his terms in a completely different way.

Akaza Is Not The Only Demon Capable of Head Regeneration

  • Muzan and Kokushibo Possess This Ability As Well
  • Doma Can Probably Do It Too But Never Showcased This Ability

Akaza has an incredible regeneration factor, but he isn’t the only one with this power. Aside from him, fans will also eventually see Kokushibo and Muzan do the same, to an even greater degree.

Kokushibo regenerated his head once in his battle against the Hashira. Muzan is capable of doing it almost infinitely, even when nerfed by the drug.

Doma was actually never seen regenerating his head after being cut by a Nichirin Sword. But this isn’t because he lacks this power. It's likely because Doma logically should have better regeneration than Akaza, but he was poisoned by Shinobu, which extremely impacted his regenerative abilities.

Where To Watch and Read Demon Slayer?

Available on Crunchyroll and Manga Plus

The Demon Slayer manga concluded long ago, in 2020 to be specific. The story is rather short compared to most other series, and only spans over 205 chapters. Fans of the series who don't want to wait for the movies to drop can check the manga out on Manga Plus.

Meanwhile, for the anime, the series currently has 4 anime seasons. These anime seasons can all be found on Crunchyroll. The rest of the series will be animated into movies, for which fans will have to wait for a theatrical release. The release date, in this case, depends on their country.
