Shinobu Kocho is one of the most brilliant Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite her tiny build and soft features, she is also one of the most intimidating, even to Tanjiro and his friends. Behind her beautiful eyes and pretty smile, manga fans know there’s an intense hatred for demons, which stems from losing her parents, as well as her sister Kanae.
However, unlike other Pillars, Shinobu has a very weak swinging strength, so much so that she could not cut a demon’s head off. While her pushing and thrusting strength is superior to everyone else’s, it would not amount to anything if she could not behead a demon by herself. Because of this, she had to resort to another method to kill the demons she detests the most.

From the very beginning, Shinobu Kocho’s main target was none other than Upper Moon Two Douma. Shinobu can’t kill him by herself, so she thought of a new way to somehow weaken the demon before someone else cuts his head off. However, Douma has abnormal resistance to poison, so she had to increase the dosage many times more than usual.
But increasing the dosage doesn’t guarantee its effectiveness, so Shinobu had to swallow her pride to work with the demon Tamayo. She also talked to Kanao and revealed her reckless plan by intentionally letting herself be consumed by the upper moon two. Her body contains 37 kg worth of highly concentrated wisteria poison, and with Tamayo’s help, Douma won’t be able to sense that there will be poison circulating in his body.

It's unclear whether the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie will cover the outcome of Shinobu's plan, but based on the trailer alone, fans will likely see the fight between Shinobu and Douma unfold.
