Deltarune Chapter 3 continues the story of Kris, Susie, and Ralsei in a brand-new Dark World, themed around television and broadcasting. The main antagonist is Tenna, a living television who is obsessed with being watched and played with. Tenna pops up throughout Chapter 3 of Deltarune, dragging you into a variety of game show-style challenges. While he isn’t truly evil, his deep fear of being abandoned drives him to turn against you in the end.

How to Save Tenna and Find Him a New Home in Deltarune

Ant Tenna is the antagonist of Deltarune Chapter 3, but he's not all bad. Here's how to save him and find him a new home in Chapter 4.

How To Beat Tenna Boss in Deltarune Chapter 3

Tenna confronts you just before you encounter the Roaring Knight in Chapter 3, trying to persuade you to keep playing games. Once you deny it, his fear of being left behind pushes him into a full-on battle.

Like most battles in Deltarune, this fight can be resolved either peacefully or through combat. If you want to engage in a fight, you need to prepare for a long fight, as Tenna has a lot of HP. As such, it’s usually better to play along with his games.

During the battle, Tenna challenges you to earn 1,000 points to win the battle. There are two main ways to do this:

  • You can use the ACT command “I Love TV” to win a few points instantly.
  • Participating in various minigame challenges you've encountered throughout the chapter. Your performance in these minigames dictates how many points you earn. Be careful, though, as any mistakes will result in your party taking damage.

To keep up, guard frequently to fill your TP gauge. This lets you use the ACT more often and play additional minigames. Also, make sure to use the healing items you’ve gathered throughout the chapter.

Once you hit that 1,000-point mark, Tenna kicks off the "Grand Finale". This is where things get intense. He launches his final attack: a relentless string of rapid-fire minigames. The rapid switches can be disorienting, making it easy to slip up.

When Tenna announces the Grand Finale, make sure to heal your entire party before the Final Episode begins. This gives you some breathing room to handle the rapid-fire minigames that follow.

After surviving this onslaught, you’ll enter the final stage: a shootout against Tenna. During this phase, you’ll fire at Tenna as he bombards you with stars. Use your bullets defensively to weaken or break the incoming ones, or offensively to deal damage by hitting Tenna's head. Land enough hits on the head to take him down.
