The console versions of Delta Force are getting some major performance improvements in the future, the game's developers have revealed. TiMi Studio's tactical shooter has resurrected the classic series to an impressive level of success, and its recent expansion to consoles has pushed its popularity even further. PlayStation and Xbox Delta Force players now have even more to look forward to from the game.

The free-to-play first-person shooter was only been available on PC and mobile for most of its first year. That changed when Delta Force released on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on August 19, a little over a month after a new season started on other platforms. Now, Team Jade, the division of TiMi Studio Group responsible for Delta Force's development, has revealed some of its plans for the new versions of the game.

Delta Force Will Get a "Major Performance and Graphics Boost" on Consoles in the Future

A Team Jade Q&A reported by MP1st revealed that the studio has big plans in store for the console versions of the game in future updates. One of the most notable changes is that Delta Force's Performance Mode will run on "significantly higher" frame rates across all consoles, even the Xbox Series S, with these improvements coming with the next seasonal update. The game is also getting PSSR support for the PS5 Pro. A recent leak has confirmed that Sony is aiming to improve PSSR's upscaling resolutions on the PS5 Pro in 2026, so these Delta Force upgrades could have a big impact in the future.

PS5 and Xbox users will get mouse and keyboard support in the future as well, though using this feature will automatically turn on crossplay to ensure fairness in matches. While Delta Force does support console-only crossplay, it will be interesting to see how automatically including PC players when using a mouse and keyboard impacts the game. Console players will also get support for gyro aiming sometime next year, although specific timelines are unclear beyond that. Optimizations to the controller shooting experience, improvements to analog movement, and general performance updates are on the way as well.

The studio also stated it would continue to crack down on cheaters. Over 1,400 Delta Force players have already been banned as devs have ramped up action against cheaters, and the recent expansion to consoles could bring even more attention to it. So far, it's unclear when exactly all of these changes will come. While Team Jade has said the visual enhancements will come with the next seasonal update and gyro support will land sometime in 2026, it did not offer specifics beyond that, so fans should keep their eyes peeled for more information.
